United face competition for Onana?
Manchester United are hot on the trail of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, though the Red Devils could face competition for the stopper’s signature from the Middle East, according to CBS Sports reporter James Benge.
With David de Gea now officially a free agent following the expiration of his contract at United, manager Erik ten Hag is in the market for a new number one and Cameroon international Onana is believed to be his number one target.
United have already made an opening bid for the 27-year-old according to reports, though interest from Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr could complicate the issue.
Al Nassr are said to have tabled a mammoth contract offer for Onana, though convincing the former Ajax star to choose the Pro League instead of the Premier League could prove a tricky task.

Conflicting Amrabat reports
Manchester United have reportedly agreed personal terms with Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, that’s according to Italian outlet La Nazione ,who published a piece about the possible deal yesterday.
The 26-year-old anchorman, who impressed at the World Cup in Qatar, is thought to be on several big clubs’ wish lists this summer, though a move to United – at this stage at least – seems very unlikely.
United have just finalised a deal for another midfielder in Mason Mount and with their budget looking tight elsewhere, they probably don’t have the financial muscle to pursue a second signing in that position.
In addition, Amrabat, who has been valued at around £26m by Fiorentina, is unlikely to be all that keen to play second fiddle to Casemiro at the base of United’s midfield. Fiorentina have already denied that a deal is in place to take Amrabat to United or that they've even received an offer for their midfielder.

United line up Kolo Muani swoop?
The Daily Mail have run an article that focuses on United’s possible striker targets for the summer and they have named French international Randal Kolo Muani as an option for the Red Devils.
United are scouring the market for a new centre-forward this summer and having already been priced out of a move for Harry Kane, the Manchester giants have been looking to the continent for alternatives.
Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund has been earmarked as a possible solution to their issues up front, though Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani is also being tracked according to the Daily Mail.
Bayern Munich are also believed to be keen admirers of the 24-year-old who could cost as much as £70m if he leaves Die Alder this summer.

Justin Bijlow shortlisted?
An interesting story has just surfaced in the Netherlands via Voetbal International, linking Feyenoord keeper Justin Bijlow with a summer switch to Old Trafford.
United are busily lining up all of their options for the goalkeeping position this summer with current incumbants David de Gea, Tom Heaton and Dean Henderson all expected to depart before the transfer window slams shut in September.
While Inter Milan’s Andre Onana remains a top target, United have also been tentatively approaching cheaper alternatives in the event that the Cameroonian keeper is too pricy.
25-year-old Bijlow, who is reportedly very keen on a move to Manchester, would be available to sign for a modest fee from Dutch champions Feyenoord.

Maguire set for showdown talks
Manchester United captain Harry Maguire is set for showdown talks about this future with Erik ten Hag this week, according to numerous reports.
The centre-half has become a peripheral figure at Old Trafford since the Dutch manager’s appointment and Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof and even Luke Shaw seem to be ahead of Maguire in the pecking order for central defence.
Tottenham have been credited with an interest in the 30-year-old, as have West Ham, however, no suitor has made a concrete move to sign Maguire yet.
Maguire’s meaty wage packet at United could make a summer exit difficult for the Three Lions regular, though the ex-Leicester man is unlikely to accept another season sitting on the bench.

United line up deal for Rasmus Hojlund
Atalanta starlet Rasmus Hojlund is pushing for a move to Manchester United this summer, according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti via GIVEMESPORT.
The 20-year-old Danish international’s reputation has exploded over the last six months thanks to a string of dynamic performances for his country and for his club, Atalanta.
Hojlund is believed to be a boyhood Man Utd fan, something the Red Devils could use to their advantage in any move for the striker.
Some reports emanating out of the UK suggested Atalanta had pushed Hojlund’s asking price to around €100 in the wake of United’s interest, though those claims were refuted in Italy by sources closer to the Bergamo end of things.
With Harry Kane proving unattainable, Hojlund could be a savvy, cheaper alternative.

Sancho set for summer exit?
In an explosive piece published by the Daily Mail, it was suggested that United could embark on a major clearout of their squad this summer, with winger Jadon Sancho possibly among those jettisoned by the club.
Sancho has failed to impress in Manchester following his money-spinning move from Dortmund to United two years ago and the report hinted that Erik ten Hag may finally be losing patience with the underperforming attacker.
When Sancho signed for United in an £86m deal in 2021, he was widely considered to be one of the brightest young talents in football, though the 23-year-old has failed to recapture his scintillating Bundesliga form in the Premier League.
A price tag of around £45m has already been muted for Sancho who is among the top earners at Old Trafford with a weekly salary of around £345,000.
Sancho registered six goals and chipped in with three assists in 21 Premier League starts in 2022/23.

Player plus cash offer for Rice in the works?
The Daily Express think Man Utd are about to get creative in the market with a proposed swoop for Declan Rice that would include a lump of cash and two players in exchange for the West Ham skipper.
Rice is one of the most sought-after players in this summer’s transfer window and both Arsenal and Manchester City have had offers of around £90m rejected by the Irons for the midfielder.
Now United are ready to throw their hat into the ring, according to reports and the Red Devils believe an offer of £40m plus Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay could be enough to tempt West Ham into doing business.
David Moyes is believed to be a big admirer of both Maguire and McTominay and the chance to swell his coffers and strengthen his squad in one blow could appeal to the Scottish manager.
This rumour however, doesn’t quite hit the mark for us. Player plus cash exchange deals are often touted by media as possibilities, but in reality, those kinds of transfers are extremely rare.

United turn to Caicedo?
With their negotiations to sign Chelsea’s Mason Mount hitting an impasse, United have turned their attentions to alternative midfielder targets, one of which could be Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, according to ESPN.
The Ecuadorian powerhouse has long-been admired by United, who passed on the opportunity to sign the anchorman for a nominal fee before he signed for the Seagulls.
Since his arrival at Albion, Caicedo has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most impactful midfielder and the 21-year-old is also being chased by Chelsea among others.
Indeed, some stories have suggested that Caicedo has even agreed personal terms with the Blues, so United will need to act fast to position themselves for his signature.
United’s interest in Caicedo might be a ploy to soften Chelsea’s resolve over their demands for Mount, however.

Manchester United Football Club is one of the most successful and most popular football clubs in the world. The club was founded in 1878 as Newton Heath LYR Football Club before changing the name to Manchester United in 1902. In 1910, the club moved to Old Trafford stadium and they have been playing in the popular “Theatre of Dreams” ever since.
The Red Devils, which is the nickname of the club, are the most decorated club in English football, with a record of 20 league titles (one more than Liverpool), 12 FA Cups and 5 League Cups. The club has also won 3 European Cup/Champions League titles and one UEFA Europa League title, among other trophies. Additionally, Manchester United was the first club to win the European Cup in 1968, under the management of Matt Busby.
However, the majority of trophies for the club came after the foundation of the Premier League and during 26 years under the guidance of the legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson. In fact, the team has failed to win a domestic title since his retirement in 2013. The current manager of the team is highly-rated former Ajax boss, Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United Transfers
Eric Cantona from Leeds for £1.2m in 1992
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what made Manchester United the force that it was in Premier League, apart from the obvious managerial brilliance of Sir Alex Ferguson. However, many pundits would agree that signing Cantona was the thing that lit the United’s fire. The French forward played five seasons for Red Devils and only failed once to win a title with them.
Cristiano Ronaldo from Sporting for £12m in 2003
Widely regarded as one of the best players in the history of the game, Cristiano Ronaldo was an 18-year old youngster when he was brought to Manchester. Playing mostly as a winger, Ronaldo scored 84 league goals in his six years at the club before being sold to Real Madrid for a record-breaking fee of £80 million.
Peter Schmeichel from Brondby for £625,000 in 1991
A good goalkeeper is the backbone of any team and Schmeichel was a type of keeper that could provide security and leadership to any team. The Danish keeper came to Manchester United for a humble fee, even for 1991 standards, and he remained at the club for 8 years.
Nemanja Vidić from Spartak Moscow for £7m in 2005
Paired with Rio Ferdinand, the Serbian central defender posed an insurmountable shield in front of the goal but many strikers would agree that Vidić was the better defender of the two and, in his peak years, the best defender in the world. Nicknamed Serbian Terminator by the fans, Vidić was with the club for eight years, for some of which he was the captain as well.
Paul Pogba from Juventus for £90m in 2016
Despite coming to the club as a teenager, Paul Pogba is still the most expensive transfer for Manchester United to date. His career at the club was short-lived before he was let go and allowed to sign for Juventus. But after just three seasons in Italy, United paid £90 million to get him back in 2016.
