Bundesliga Predictions
Our free Germany Bundesliga predictions are updated for every round of games. Take a look at the latest predictions from our Football Whispers tipsters.
Dortmund vs Mainz: Dortmund to win to nil
If Dortmund win this game then the Bundesliga title is theirs. We fully expect them to beat Mainz and we don't see them conceding either. Dortmund, particularly at home, have been in sensational form. They've won their last 12 home games with two of the last three victories coming to nil. Mainz meanwhile are somewhat ropey on the road. They have won just one of their last five away matches and have lost their last two games on the road without scoring.
Wolfsburg vs Hertha: Over 3.5 goals
Next up we change pace and opt for an over 3.5 goals prediction. Wolfsburg and Hertha both have game averages north of the three goal mark across their season as a whole, which puts them amongst the top ranking Bundesliga teams for total goals. Recent form has been even stronger though and further supports the over 3.5 goal prediction. Both Wolfsburg and Hertha have seen a total of 20 goals in their respective last five games – an average of 4.0 per match.
Leipzig vs Schalke: Leipzig to win
Leipzig were the team to put a dent in the Bayern Munich title chase last time out but, for themselves, that made it five straight wins. We are predicting that run stretches to six games here. We simply cannot see Schalke getting a result. As we say, Leipzig have won five games on the bounce heading into this match. Schalke meanwhile have only won two of their last 10 away games and were hit for six by Bayern in their last road game.

German League Predictions
The overwhelming favourites for the Bundesliga title will once again be Bayern Munich. Last season, Bayern finished 8 points ahead of Borussia Dortmund and a further four ahead of third-placed Bayer Leverkusen. It was RB Leipzig who completed the top four with Union Berlin and SC Freiburg following suit.
While Bayern remain favourites to lift their eleventh successive tile triumph, they have genuine competition this term from Borussia Dortmund, who have hit a rich vein of form. The departure of Robert Lewandowski has levelled the playing field a little, while Union Berlin, RB Leipzig and Freiburg are also making a fight for it near the summit of the table.
- Bayern Munich: 1/7
- Borussia Dortmund: 5/1
- Union Berlin: 250/1
Bundesliga Predictions: Top Goalscorer
The top-goalscorer battle in Bundesliga will be interesting with Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland leaving for pastures abroad, and it's bound to have an effect on the Bundesliga predictions as well. Sadio Mane was not a like-for-like replacement for the Polish forward and he has struggled to hit the heights expected of him so far. Werder Bremen's Niclas Fullkrug is the current pacesetter in the division, while Freiburg's Vincenzo Grifo and RB Leipzig's Christopher Nkunku have also been putting up good numbers.
- Nicolas Fullkrug: 2/5
- Vincenzo Grifo: 6/1
- Christopher Nkunku: 8/1
What is the Bundesliga?
The Bundesliga is one of the elite football association competitions in the world. It takes place in Germany and is made up of eighteen Football clubs. The League itself operates on a relegation and promotion-based system, like other unique Football association leagues around the world. The teams who get relegated go to the “2. Bundesliga,” while teams promoted from it go to the highest Bundesliga. The League runs from August to May, and most games are played on weekends, but some are on weekdays as well.
Our Final Tip
The past seasons of the Bundesliga have taught us to not look past one or two teams as winners, but even if they don't have high chances of winning some underdog teams have good squads, and if they push themselves to better their game, they could end up on top of the table in May 2023. We aren't saying to put all of your eggs in the underdogs' basket and ignore Bayern Munich's history with the Bundesliga, but anything could happen in football, so keep your perspective broad. We are sure that nothing would please Bayern Munich's fans more than securing an 11th consecutive title, and we'd love to see that.
