Over 3.5 Goals
Mainz To Win
Draw or Monchengladbach
We've picked out three of the best games taking place in the Bundesliga this week and our tipster has made predictions for each match.
Our free Germany Bundesliga predictions are updated for every round of games. Take a look at the latest predictions from our Football Whispers tipsters.
Wolfsburg vs Freiburg: Over 3.5 goals @ 7/4 (2.75)
We kick off our Bundesliga tips with a total goals wager and, whilst we pondered an over 2.5 goals prediction, we're actually opting for an over 3.5 goals pick to boost the potential returns. Wolfsburg have gone over the 3.5 mark in three of their last four matches with a total of 15 goals seen in that period. Freiburg meanwhile have seen 22 goals across their last five matches with four of the five going over 3.5 goals. Even the head to head record is goal crazy; three of the last four meetings have gone over 3.5 goals.
Koln vs Mainz: Mainz to win @ 21/10 (3.10)
We now turn our attention to Koln vs Mainz and the match result market. We are sticking our neck out and opting for a Mainz victory. Mainz's away form hasn't been particularly strong but they have avoided defeat in four of their last five games on the road. Koln meanwhile have been losing home games with great regularity recently having suffered four defeats in their last six home games – notably winning just once in that period. If Mainz are to grab an away win, this game is a great opportunity to do so.
Union Berlin vs Monchengladbach: Draw or Monchengladbach @ 8/13 (1.62)
We end our Bundesliga tips with a double chance wager that backs Monchengladbach to avoid defeat on their trip to Union Berlin. Union Berlin have a strong head to head record against Monchengladbach but they're way off their usual standards this season and arrive here having failed to win in a whopping 16 games with their last win dating back to August. Monchengladbach meanwhile have only lost two of their last 10 matches. At 8/13 (1.62) the value on offer is terrific.

German League Predictions
The overwhelming favourites for the Bundesliga title will once again be Bayern Munich. Last season, Bayern snatched the title on the final day ahead of Borussia Dortmund on goal difference with Leipzig and Union Berlin completing the top four.
Since that day though lots has changed. Dortmund have lost key players with Jude Bellingham the most noteworthy exit whilst Leipzig have lost Christopher Nkunku. Bayern Munich meanwhile have addressed their clear need for a striker by adding England captain Harry Kane to their ranks. With those couple of changes, Bayern Munich head into the season as heavy favourites for the title.
- Bayern Munich: 4/11
- Bayer Leverkusen: 7/2
- Leipzig: 66/1
Bundesliga Predictions: Top Goalscorer
Harry Kane rocking up in Germany has surprised a few people this summer. What won't surprise people though is if Kane runs away with the Golden Boot. Despite his goalscoring prowess Kane isn't the only good striker in the Bundesliga and should the former Spurs man struggle to settle immediately then there could well be some value to have further down the odds.
- Harry Kane 1/14
- Lois Openda 40/1
- Leroy Sane 66/1
What is the Bundesliga?
The Bundesliga is one of the elite football association competitions in the world. It takes place in Germany and is made up of eighteen Football clubs. The League itself operates on a relegation and promotion-based system, like other unique Football association leagues around the world. The teams who get relegated go to the “2. Bundesliga,” while teams promoted from it go to the highest Bundesliga. The League runs from August to May, and most games are played on weekends, but some are on weekdays as well.
Our Final Tip
The past seasons of the Bundesliga have taught us to not look past one or two teams as winners, but even if they don't have high chances of winning some underdog teams have good squads, and if they push themselves to better their game, they could end up on top of the table in May 2023. We aren't saying to put all of your eggs in the underdogs' basket and ignore Bayern Munich's history with the Bundesliga, but anything could happen in football, so keep your perspective broad. We are sure that nothing would please Bayern Munich's fans more than securing an 11th consecutive title, and we'd love to see that.
