Rodrygo would reportedly have the green light to leave Real Madrid during the next winter transfer window. Liverpool and Arsenal are lurking in this case.

Rodrygo's adventure at Real Madrid seems set to stop in 2026. Indeed, according to information from Caught Offside, the Spanish club's management have informed the Brazilian winger's camp that they are considering letting him leave should an interesting offer arrive.

The Merengues could thus accept a sale for a fee between €85m and €90m (£73m and £80m). An amount slightly lower than the €100m (£88m) requested this summer by Real, but logical given the Osasco, Brazil native's substitute status.

A departure could thus arrive as early as this winter, as the 24-year-old player is highly courted and this price should not frighten the heavyweights on his trail. And this, despite very limited playing time at the start of the campaign. Indeed, Xabi Alonso does not really count on Rodrygo, who has only started four of his 15 matches. A situation which has pushed all parties to discuss a departure.

The British outlet has provided an update on his suitors and we find two Premier League heavyweights leading the race: Arsenal and Liverpool. The Reds see in Rodrygo the ideal replacement for Mohamed Salah through his quality of speed, his dribbling and his versatility in attack.

Rodrygo: The ideal time to leave Real Madrid

At the Gunners, the Madrid player is being tracked to strengthen the wings. Caught Offside even go as far as to say that Arsenal could meet Real Madrid's demands, if the main interested party expresses his desire to join the London club. Which has not, for the moment, been the case.

For Rodrygo, a transfer to one of these Premier League heavyweights would make sense and would allow him to regain a more important status, after having played 285 matches with the Merengues. The latter would recover a handsome fee to invest in the transfer market, in exchange for a player now a substitute who arrived for €45m (£39m) in 2019.
