Liverpool are reportedly no longer pursuing a move for Adam Wharton, with the Reds feeling that there is better value for money elsewhere.

The Crystal Palace midfielder was believed to be a top target for Liverpool this summer, but according to TEAMtalk, the Reds are now considering Juventus' Khephren Thuram instead.

The report states that Juventus would be prepared to sell Thuram for around €50m, which is significantly cheaper than the reported £80m Palace wants for Wharton.

Liverpool also retain an interest in Angelo Stiller and Kaishu Sano, with multiple midfield signings possible at Anfield this summer.

Rafael Leao considers Tottenham switch

Rafael Leao is reportedly seriously considering making a move to Tottenham this summer, with the winger's time at AC Milan seemingly at an end.

According to TEAMtalk, Spurs have held initial talks with both Leao and his club over a move, with the Portuguese star keen on making the switch to the Premier League one way or another.

AC Milan are willing to part ways with Leao this summer if an acceptable offer comes in, but no movement is expected until Leao return from his World Cup duties with Portugal.

Arsenal and Manchester United also retain an interest in Leao, which means we could see a three-way Premier League tussle for his signature after the World Cup.

Cristian Romero targeted by Spanish giants

While Tottenham continue to make big moves in the transfer market, departures are also expected in North London.

Club captain Cristian Romeo is one player who is said to be pushing for the exit door this summer, and Gianluigi Longari is reporting that Atlético Madrid and Barcelona are both considering making an offer for him.

Romero, who is currently competing at the World Cup with Argentina, feels that his time at Tottenham is over, although Roberto de Zerbi is desperate to convince him otherwise.

If Romero does leave, then Tottenham will need to re-enter the market for a new central defender.
