Set to meet in the Champions League quarter-finals, Liverpool and PSG are also targeting the same centre-back ahead of the summer 2026 transfer window.
PSG and Liverpool both eye Bremer
Having knocked out Chelsea in the last 16, Paris Saint-Germain will face Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-finals on 8th and 14th April. A double-header on the pitch that could extend into the transfer market this summer — with both clubs reported to be interested in a highly sought-after centre-back from Serie A.
According to journalist Ekrem Konur, PSG and Liverpool are monitoring Juventus's Brazilian international Gleison Bremer. With Lucas Beraldo expected to leave, the reigning Champions League holders are looking to recruit a centre-back in the next window, all the more urgently given the pressing need to plan for the long-term succession of the evergreen Marquinhos. Liverpool, meanwhile, managed by Arne Slot, are preparing for life without Ibrahima Konate, with the French international attracting interest from Real Madrid.

A £46m release clause — and a long queue of suitors
Under contract with the Old Lady until June 2029, the 29-year-old has a release clause set at £46m, activatable between 1st July and 10th August according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira. A Juventus stalwart since the summer of 2022, the former Torino man is in high demand, and the PSG-Liverpool pairing are far from alone in their interest. In England, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United are also keeping tabs on Bremer.
A regular starter and the only goalscorer for Brazil against France in the recent friendly defeat, Bremer has also caught the eye of Bayern Munich despite the recent extension of departure candidate Dayot Upamecano. With a market value of £30m, Bremer could fetch twice that figure for his Italian employers in the coming months, potentially making it one of the biggest sales in Juventus's history.
