Chelsea are said to be strongly interested in one of Marseille's brightest academy prospects — and have already made him an offer.
Back in December, Africa Foot revealed that Chelsea were targeting a 16-year-old Marseille gem in the shape of Said Remadnia, with the specialist African football outlet reporting that discussions were already under way between the Blues and the young Marseille man over a medium to long-term project.
Chelsea move for Said Remadnia
Four months on, the story is back in the spotlight. According to The Sun, Chelsea's interest in Remadnia is very much real. The London club are said to have scouted him in the UEFA Youth League, a competition in which he impressed with two goals and one assist in seven appearances.

Regarded as the jewel of Marseille's academy, the left winger — born in France to parents of Algerian and Tunisian origin — is described by the British outlet as possessing blistering pace, exceptional liveliness and a ruthless eye for goal.
Marseille and Medhi Benatia refuse to give up
While several other European clubs are said to be interested, Chelsea — the first to make a concrete approach — are understood to be in pole position. The Sun reports that the Blues have put forward a five-year contract offer to Remadnia, set to take effect in March 2027 when the player comes of age.
Chelsea's plan is said to be well structured, with Remadnia initially joining the reserve team before being gradually integrated into the first squad. However, the deal is not yet done — Marseille are unwilling to lose their prized asset, and Medhi Benatia has reportedly been working for several months to convince the winger, who turns 17 this Friday 27th March, to sign a new contract. Those close to the young Marseille man are said to be weighing up their options.
