Authenticity (2/5): Odds not always accurate
PSG are the clear favourites to sign Man Utd winger Marcus Rashford at 7/2, with Arsenal considered the next-likeliest European destination at 8/1.
Those odds were given by bookmaker Betfair and shared on OneFootball. There is no such thing as a dead cert, but bookies often have some of the best insights when it comes to player transfers.
Value (3.5/5): Available for less than first thought
When we assessed rumours of a PSG move last month, we gave his value a 2/5 score as he had not been performing to the standard of his £49.5 million valuation.
That is still the case, but now that United want him out, they are likely to let him go for less than valuation, which has dropped again to £45.5 million.
Suitability (4/5): He can play Enrique's way
A left-winger who can also be deployed as a centre-forward, Rashford should be able to play to his full potential in Luis Enrique's 4-3-3 system. That's if he can rediscover his form.
That said, he has shown glimpses of his best, such as his goal against Ipswich two minutes into Ruben Amorim's first match.
Upgrade? (3.5/5): PSG want him up front?
The speculation last month was that Enrique wanted Rashford as a replacement for his striking options, with Goncalo Ramos out of favour. Since then, rumours of Randal Kolo Muani leaving have been gathering pace, with Old Trafford a potential destination.
Centre-forward could be his best bet if he goes to PSG, with the left-wing spot covered by Bradley Barcola and Desire Doue.
Logic 4/5: “A new challenge”
Less than a month ago it looked like Amorim was going to get the best out of him, but now Rashford and United agree it's time for a new challenge.
A big club in a new league where he appears to be highly rated could be exactly what he is looking for, but PSG will be well aware of his poor form and supposed off-field issues.
Whisper+ verdict: 17/25
Last month's rumour got a 15.5/25 from us, and though we need more than odds to rubber-stamp it, this story seems to be moving in the right direction for Rashford and PSG.
