Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United are reportedly the two clubs in pole position to land Ghanaian gem Prince Amoako in the next transfer window.

With around a month to go until the opening of the summer transfer window, rumours are starting to multiply. PSG and Manchester United are both reportedly being linked with a fresh dossier. According to information from Ghanaian outlet MyJoy, relayed by TEAMtalk, the two European heavyweights are in pole position to land Prince Amoako Junior.

The 19-year-old wonderkid plays in Denmark for Nordsjaelland. Having arrived there in February 2025 from Ghana, he has already established himself as a key player. A regular starter on the left flank, Amoako is enjoying a full season with nine goals and six assists in 33 matches.

Manchester United and PSG keen on Prince Amoako Junior

It is not exactly surprising to see PSG interested in this promising starlet, given that it fits perfectly with their new recruitment strategy. According to the same source, Manchester United and Paris have expressed strong interest in Prince Amoako Junior.

Aware of having a genuine gem on their hands, Nordsjaelland have already extended his contract last September until June 2030. The Danish club are reportedly not planning to do their suitors any favours and are demanding a transfer fee in the region of £23m to £27m.

Too high a price for Manchester United and PSG?

That is a sizeable sum for a player with just one professional season in a second-tier league. TEAMtalk notes, in any case, that it is difficult to imagine Manchester United, who have also positioned themselves for Lyon revelation Afonso Moreira, sanctioning a transfer of around £25m for a player who has yet to truly prove himself.

This observation also applies to PSG, who have signed young players without major references such as Renato Marin and Dro Fernandez in recent months, although these were lower-cost operations, with the Italian goalkeeper arriving for free and a £6.8m deal for the Spanish midfielder.

It should be noted that the two European giants would not be the only suitors in this dossier. The Ghanaian outlet also indicates that Brighton, Freiburg, Feyenoord, Bournemouth, RB Leipzig, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund have all been keeping a close eye on the young winger. The Prince Amoako Junior dossier looks like one to keep an eye on this summer.
