Alphonso Davies's future at Bayern Munich has become uncertain, prompting Manchester United's interest in the Canadian, but the Red Devils are far from the only Premier League club in the running.
Premier League battle brewing for Davies
As recently reported by CaughtOffside, a move for the left-back to Old Trafford this summer appears possible. While Bayern Munich have not publicly signalled any intention to sell Davies, his recurring injury problems — limiting him to just 13 appearances this season — are prompting serious reflection over his future.
According to TEAMtalk, the situation has now developed further. The British outlet reports that the attack-minded defender has been offered to “numerous Premier League clubs” by intermediaries. Should a departure materialise, it appears increasingly likely to lead Davies to the Premier League this summer, with Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea all said to be “keen” on signing him.

TEAMtalk reports that Liverpool “should” sign a left-back at the end of the season, with Andrew Robertson expected to depart, while Manchester United are looking to “increase competition” for that position. The outlet anticipates “a fierce battle” that will “not come cheap”, with Transfermarkt valuing Davies at £38m.
Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG all approached
TEAMtalk also notes that Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain were all contacted by intermediaries regarding Davies — but interest from all three appears to have gone nowhere. At PSG, Portuguese full-back Nuno Mendes, 23, is untouchable at left-back and widely regarded as the best in the world in that position. Real Madrid are also expected to pass, unwilling to add another injury-prone defender to a squad that has already suffered heavily in that department in recent seasons.
As for Barcelona, the reasons behind their apparent lack of interest are less clear, though it likely comes down to transfer priorities — the Catalan club are primarily targeting centre-back Alessandro Bastoni, 26, this summer at a fee expected to fall between £43m and £51m.
Davies may well end up staying at Bayern Munich, but should he be sold, the Premier League looks the most likely destination.
