Although the Premier League season is now underway, all 20 teams across the top flight are still scrambling around trying to complete transfers before the window slams shut on Monday 1st September.
The biggest saga of the summer, Alexander Isak's potential move to Liverpool, took another twist yesterday when the Swede released a public statement stating that Newcastle have ‘broken promises' this summer in regards to his future.
What happens next in that particular deal is anybody's guess, but the fact that Newcastle are still in pursuit of several new forwards suggests that they are now eager to part ways with the 25-year-old.

Adrien Rabiot eyes Premier League move

Not for the first time in his career, Adrien Rabiot has had a falling out with a manager, and his career at Marseille is now over.
According to reports in France, the 30-year-old has been told by Roberto de Zerbi that he will never play for Marseille again after being involved in a physical bust-up with teammate Jonathan Rowe after the club's defeat to Rennes at the weekend.
Rabiot is now said to be looking for a swift move to the Premier League, with reports suggesting that the France international has even rejected a move to AC Milan.
It is believed that Manchester United and Newcastle are both interested in his services, while Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are also monitoring the situation – a deal could reportedly be done for as little as €15m (£13m).
West Ham and Wolves weigh up move for Marc Casado

West Ham and Wolves are reportedly weighing up a move for Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado. The Catalans are currently trying to offload players as they look to balance the books and their squad, following a big summer of arrivals.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, the Hammers and the Old Gold would be able to sign the 20-year-old for just €30million (£26million). However, a deal would hinge on Casado's willingness to move away from Barcelona at this stage of his career.
Given the options that Hansi Flick has in the middle of the park, though, Casado should consider a move; otherwise, he is at risk of being frozen out this season.
Based on the opening weekend of the season, both West Ham and Wolves certainly need reinforcements in the middle of the park, too. West Ham were humiliated by Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, while Wolves conceded four goals at home to Man City.
Nottingham Forest close in on Douglas Luiz

Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz is reportedly on the verge of a return to the Premier League with Nottingham Forest after Fabrizio Romano posted on X that a fee of €30million (£26million) has been agreed between the two clubs.
The Brazilian midfielder will now travel to the UK to have a medical and sign on the dotted line with his new club.

The signing of Luiz could prove to be an excellent bit of business for Forest, provided he can recapture the form he displayed during his five-year stint at Villa Park, where he won both the Supporters' and Players' Player of the Season award in 2022/23.
And it's easy to see why, as the former Aston Villa favourite delivered an eye-catching 12 goal contributions from 37 appearances in the Premier League that year.
