It's time for our FA Cup betting tips ahead of Ipswich vs Maidstone on Saturday. The lowest-ranked side left in the competition make the trip to Championship title challengers Ipswich Town this weekend. National League side Maidstone are huge underdogs in this 4th Round tie but if Ipswich underestimates their guests, we could have an upset on the cards.

Ipswich vs Maidstone prediction – Betting tips & odds

Hot Tip – Both Teams to Score

  • Both teams have scored in four of Ipswich's last six matches.
  • Each of Maidstone's last four outings have ended with both teams scoring.

Another reason that we have backed BTTS as our main prediction is that Ipswich played a weakened side in the last round of the FA Cup and conceded a goal.

Ipswich vs Maidstone team news

Ipswich

Ipswich played a weakened side away at Wimbledon in the last round of the FA Cup and still came away with a comfortable victory. An own goal put the visitors in front after just eight minutes but Wimbledon equalised in the seventeenth minute via a penalty. The Tractor Boys went in at the break 2-1 up thanks to a goal five minutes from halftime from defender Axel Tuanzebe. Jack Tayloe scored the only goal of the second half to wrap up a 3-1 victory for the Championship club.

Ipswich head into Saturday's game with a clean bill of health but we still expect the hosts to field a weakened side due to their ongoing title race.

Predicted Lineup: Walton (GK), Edmundson, Tuanzebe, Woolfenden, Morsy, Harness, Taylor, Hutchinson, Humphreys, Ladapo & Broadhead

Maidstone

Maidstone used their home advantage well in the 3rd Round against Stevenage. A first-half stoppage-time penalty from Sam Corne proved enough for the non-league side to upset the odds and set up a date with Ipswich Town in the 4th Round.

We're expecting Maidstone to go with the same starting lineup that faced Stevenage in what will be the biggest match in the club's history.

Predicted Lineup: Lucas (GK), Hoyte, Greenidge, Fowler, Bone, Corne, Kyprianou, Reynolds, Wanjau-Smith, Berkeley-Agyepong & Sole

Player to Watch: Leif Davis

Ipswich full-back Leif Davis is having a season to remember.

The defender has provided ten assists in the Championship so far, making him the club's most creative player. We're backing Davis to dominate the left-hand side against Maidstone this weekend, providing crosses for the likes of Broadhead to get on the end of to score the goals that should send Ipswich into the 5th Round.
