🔥 Our Hot tip

Correct score - 0-3

Man City have scored exactly three goals in their last three games.

Manchester City have the chance to match Chelsea's tally of eight FA Cup trophies when they meet in the final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Indeed, the Cityzens have won the competition seven times in their history, but have lost two successive FA Cup finals and will want to avoid being only the second side to lose three consecutive finals on Saturday.

Ironically, Chelsea were the team that did that between 2019/20 and 2021/22, and that last final was the last time they reached this stage in the FA Cup.

The success of Chelsea's season lies solely on this FA Cup final, as should they win it, it would be a third trophy over the last two campaigns.

It would also book them a place in the Europa League for next season, and while it is not the same level as the Champions League, it would be another realistic trophy that Chelsea could win.

The Blues are not guaranteed to qualify for any European competition next term via their league position, as they are currently in ninth place, and in contrast losing the final and not qualifying for Europe would be a disaster for Chelsea.

Interim boss Calum McFarlane has the huge task ahead of him, but the damage was already done under Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior, and there is no doubt the Blues are underdogs in the final despite the likes of Robert Sanchez, Pedro Neto and Alejandro Garnacho potentially being available again having returned to training.

There are some doubts creeping into Man City's squad though, as Nico O'Reilly was not in the squad at all for their 3-0 win at home to Crystal Palace in the Premier League, while Rodri continued to sit out through injury.

The likes of Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku should return to the starting XI though having been named on the bench, but Pep Guardiola faces a dilemma over whether to start Phil Foden again, having provided two assists against Palace.

Nonetheless, Man City should be heavy favourites whatever starting line-up they put out, as not only are they unbeaten in nine games in all competitions, winning eight of them, but Chelsea have also failed to beat them since winning the Champions League final 1-0 in 2021.

They could equal Chelsea's tally of eight FA Cup trophies with victory here, which would be their second piece of silverware this season after winning the Carabao Cup, while a coveted domestic treble is also still on as they moved to within two points of leaders Arsenal in the Premier League title race.

Whispers predicts: Chelsea 0-3 Manchester City

Man City are 8/11 favourites to win, and while we agree with the bookies, we are happy to explore other markets.

Our first pick is BTTS – No at 6/5, given Chelsea have only scored three goals in their last six games in all competitions.

We also fancy Jeremy Doku to score anytime at 19/5, as he was given a rest from the bench against Palace and prior to that, had scored four goals in his previous three appearances in all competitions, including in the FA Cup semi-final against Southampton.

Lastly, we are happy to back Correct score – 0-3 at 14/1 as an outside punt, which was the exact scoreline in the last H2H and in Man City's previous two victories against Palace and Brentford.

📈 Chelsea vs. Man City — Whispers' Tips

> BTTS – No at 6/5 | Likelihood: Possible

> Jeremy Doku to score anytime at 19/5 | Likelihood: Possible

> Correct score – 0-3 at 14/1 | Likelihood: Outsider
