Whisper+ analysis
Authenticity (2.5/5): Not impressed Amorim
Man Utd were not planning on selling Rasmus Hojlund this transfer window or in the summer, but that appears to have changed now that the Dane has failed to impress Amorim and is attracting interest from Juventus, as well as Serie A rivals Napoli.
This comes from talkSPORT and their chief football correspondent Alex Crook, who could well have insider knowledge on United, despite limited source information in the report.
Value (3/5): United selling at a loss
Juventus are unlikely to offer United anything close to the £72 million they paid Atalanta in 2023 after just two goals in the league this season.
The 21-year-old would be another player United will lose money on, and they would do well to get £50 million, in line with Hojlund's current market value.
Suitability (3.5/5): Knows the league
He made a name for himself not far from Turin, in Bergamo, scoring 10 times in his only season for Atalanta.
A return to Serie A could kickstart his career again, while Juventus are seeking extra attacking impetus to turn their startling number of draws into wins.
Upgrade? (2/5): Kolo Muani in, Vlahovic out?
Thiago Motta has chosen to put PSG loanee Randall Kolo Muani straight into his starting line-up, replacing Dusan Vlahovic who is the subject of rumoured moves to the Premier League.
Even if the Serbian leaves, Hojlund will still have to contend with Arkadiusz Milik for the role of number two centre-forward, as the new Frenchman looks to be the main man for the rest of the campaign.
Logic (2/5): Summer move is better
A summer move would make more sense than a switch this week, escpecially if Kolo Muani's move is not made permanent. Seven goals in all competitions this season suggests Hojlund's season isn't a disaster, and he may be happier fighting for his place.
A summer spend would better suit Juve too, rather than pay a hefty fee for a benchwarmer.
Whisper+ verdict: 13/25
If Hojlund is to move on, a return to Serie A would be a good bet, but it would be a gamble from Juve to sign him as a Vlahovic replacement.
