The Coventry vs Man Utd odds are a little surprising in that Man Utd aren't stronger favourites than they are. At 10/21, there is plenty of money to be won by loading up on the Premier League giants but given their form and performances this season, it is perhaps understandable if people are hesitant about backing them in any football match.

Despite that, if you apply logic to the situation then Man Utd should be far too strong for Coventry. Yes, they are winless in their last four games but they have plenty of experience of playing at Wembley in recent years and they have players who can produce things out of nothing if the game isn't going their way.

What's more, Coventry aren't in good form. They have lost three of their last four matches and their memories of Wembley aren't good after losing the playoff final here last season. They will give it their all on Sunday but we expect the extra quality of the Premier League side to prevail.

Last five H2Hs: Matches played in a bygone era

There isn't much that can be drawn from the lats five matches between Coventry and Man Utd as they haven't played each other since 2007. For what it's worth, Man Utd have won four of the last five while Coventry have won one – that came in the Carabao Cup in 2007.

Coventry preview: The Sky Blues have nothing to lose

Now that their playoff charge is over in the championship, Coventry have no reason but to put absolutely everything they have into this semi-final. Mark Robins, a former Man Utd player, will pick his strongest possible XI but is without Jamie Allen and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto due to injury.

Predicted lineup: Collins (GK), Latibeaudiere, Thomas, Kitching, Dasilva, Eccles, Sheaf, van Ewijk, O'Hare, Wright, Simms

Man Utd preview: Ten Hag may need a Mark Robins moment

Mark Robins once famously saved Sir Alex Ferguson's job with a goal in the FA Cup but if can beat Man Utd on Sunday he will almost certainly cost the current Man Utd manager his job. Ten Hag has had to deal with an incredible number of injuries all season and is without ten players for this one including Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Mason Mount and Raphael Varane.

Predicted lineup: Onana (GK), Wan-Bissaka, Casemiro, Maguire, Dalot, McTominay, Mainoo, Fernandes, Garnacho, Hojlund, Rashford

Player to watch: Alejandro Garnacho

Alejandro Garnacho

Alejandro Garnacho was forced to apologise to Erik Ten Hag earlier this week after the teenager liked posts on social media that criticised his manager. It will be interesting to see how gets on in his first appearance since the incident.

Coming of age

Garnacho has become one of United's best and most important players this season despite only being 19-years-old. While there are some inconsistencies in his game, he has all the tools you would want a winger to have in the modern game and it will be fascinating to his development continue in the coming years.
