Whisper+ analysis
Authenticity (3.5/5): Reliable source questions age
Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson has been attracting plenty of interest from the Premier League's richest clubs, with Liverpool seen as frontrunners ahead of Man Utd.
Sports Mole are reporting this story, and though the Reds have been eyeing replacements for Andy Robertson, their source David Lynch claims 27-year-old Robinson could be too old for Liverpool's shopping list.
Value (3/5): Fulham will want a pretty penny
Robinson has been a consistent performer for the Cottagers in recent years, adding six assists in his first 16 matches this season.
Under contract until 2028, Fulham will not want to lose him, so Arne Slot's side will be expected to cough up a price well over his €23.14 million market valuation, which increased earlier this month.
Suitability (4.5/5): Proven at this level
A combative defender who is one of the best full-backs in the business going forward, the Milton Keynes-born USA international can provide the attacking outlet Liverpool will lose if and when Trent Alexander-Arnold departs, albeit from the other side of the pitch.
Upgrade? (4/5): Weekend match showed it
For some it was a harsh decision to send off Andy Robertson at the weekend against Robinson's Fulham, after the Scotsman didn't cover himself in glory for the visitors' opener, either.
At the other end, Robinson provided two assists at Anfield. We shouldn't judge players on one game, but the difference was stark, nonetheless.
Logic (2.5/5): Time running out?
Turning 28-years-old next year, if Robinson is ever going to feature for a super club, he will have to get a move on. However, the ship may have already sailed regarding Liverpool, as Lynch suggested the Reds are aiming to bring in a younger player as a replacement for Robertson.
Whisper+ verdict: 20.5/25
News coming to light about Liverpool's interest in younger players means this rumour has hit a stumbling block, but having watched Robinson at the weekend, maybe there is still hope?
If not, a switch to Man Utd could still be on the cards.
