Having spent more than £400m last summer, it seems crazy that Liverpool are in need of several reinforcements a year later.
Of all the mega moves that the Reds made last year, the only signing that can truly say they enjoyed any success was Hugo Ekitike, but unfortunately for the striker, he looks set to miss a considerable chunk of the next campaign.
An Achilles injury against Paris Saint-Germain in April has placed significantly more pressure on attackers Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, who were both signed for fees in excess of £100m only to disappoint for much of 2025/26.
Left-back Milos Kerkez struggled to live up to the standards set by Andy Robertson, though he did settle into life at Anfield as the season progressed, something that cannot be said of right-back Jeremie Frimpong.
As ever, rumours around who could be next through the doors at Anfield continue to swirl.
Let us take a look at the latest rumours, but do not forget to also check the already confirmed Liverpool signings.

Lamine Camara (Monaco)
Midfield will almost certainly be a priority area for the Reds hierarchy, and they have been linked to Monaco star Lamine Camara for some time.
He has a transfer value of £35m, but he is likely to cost significantly more than that in any switch to the Premier League.
Alex Scott (Bournemouth)
Alex Scott was arguably the best midfielder in the Premier League in 2026, and considering the Englishman worked under new Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola, he could be a good fit at Anfield.
It has been reported that Bournemouth would demand a fee in the region of £80m, though the sales of Sandro Tonali and Elliot Anderson for fees at or above £100m may prompt the Cherries to raise their asking price.
Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace)
The exit of Trent Alexander-Arnold in the summer of 2025 robbed the club of a progressive passer, but luckily for them, Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton fits that bill.
Though Wharton does not possess the same physical qualities that Iraola normally looks for in his midfielders, the Basque man has indicated that he will adapt somewhat at Liverpool.
Bradley Barcola (Paris Saint-Germain)
Now that Liverpool have missed out on Yan Diomande to Real Madrid, the next best solution to their problems in the forward line may be to take PSG's Bradley Barcola, who is currently seen by Luis Enrique as fourth choice.
However, the European champions have slapped a £145m price tag on him, while Premier League champions Arsenal are also interested in his signature.
