Liverpool to make a move for Guehi

The transfer business in Merseyside is in full swing, as Liverpool prepare to welcome their record signing Florian Wirtz. The Reds have also agreed a deal with Bayer Leverkusen for the transfer of Jarell Quansah. Further, plans are underway to bring in Quansah's replacement.

According to The Telegraph, Liverpool are expected to make a significant offer for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi after raising funds from the sale of Quansah. The 24-year-old England defender will enter the final 12 months of his contract next month, leading to interest from Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur as well. However, the Anfield outfit are understood to be in the best position to do a deal for him. Whispers Rating: 4/5

Palace keen on Diomande

It won't be easy to fill Guehi's void at Selhurst Park considering how reliable and resilient the club captain has been ever since moving to South London from Chelsea. However, the FA Cup winners have ambitious plans to strengthen their backline.

As per transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Palace are in talks with Sporting CP to sign Ousmane Diomande. Considered one of Europe's most gifted young central defenders, the 21-year-old is open to moving to the Premier League. It is added that manager Oliver Glasner has also approved the Ivorian's possible signing. Whispers Rating: 4/5

Chelsea intensify Pedro pursuit

Joao Pedro's future lies away from the Amex, as Brighton & Hove Albion are willing to cash in on the Brazilian after he was axed for the last two games of the season by Fabian Hurzeler. Newcastle United have shown the strongest in the 23-year-old so far, having opened talks with the Seagulls.

However, The Sun claims Chelsea are planning to hijack Newcastle's move for Pedro. The ex-Watford man is highly rated at Stamford Bridge for his ability and versatility and it would cost around £60million to secure his services. Whispers Rating: 3/5

Madueke on Arsenal's radar

Under the current ownership, Chelsea seemingly tend to hoard players first and then try to find a suitable role for them. Unfortunately, Noni Madueke has failed to cement his place under Enzo Maresca, sparking interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

The Telegraph reports Chelsea's English rivals believe Madueke could be sold this summer. The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United are all interested in the Englishman. Nico Williams was the Gunners' primary winger target but the Spaniard has decided to join Barcelona. Whispers Rating: 2.5/5

United and Fulham interested in Palhinha

Joao Palhinha's £48million move to Bayern Munich from Fulham has turned out to be frustrating for all parties involved, to say the least. Vincent Kompany clearly doesn't fancy the Portuguese midfielder, having handed him just six starts in the Bundesliga.

Just 12 months after moving to Munich, the 29-year-old midfielder is set to hold internal talks with the German giants over his future, as per Givemesport. It is believed United would be interested in signing Palhinha if it becomes clear that he will be available on loan. His former club, Fulham, are also eager to sign him. Whispers Rating: 2.5/5
