Player to watch – Samuel Essende
Despite the club's overall poor performance in the Primeira Liga this season, one shining light for Vizela has been the form of their French striker Samuel Essende.

Essende, formerly of Caen, never really made a name for himself in his homeland with his best performance coming during the 2020/21 season at Avranches when he scored eight goals in 27 appearances.
Essende's goals might not be enough to keep Vizela up
However, since making the move to Portugal last season, Essende has really found himself, scoring nine goals in 18 starts in the Primeira Liga and now sitting on 14 goals, though his efforts appear to be in vein as Vizela are on the cusp of relegation. Essende is still the player to watch on Saturday as he is in the shop window now and will be looking to impress any potential suitors.
