Who are the best January 2025 transfer window bargains in the Premier League?
With the window now slammed shut, we have picked our top five from the top flight…

Best January 2025 transfer window bargains: Our top 5
5. Patrick Dorgu (Lecce to Manchester United) – £29.5m
Considering Lecce were reportedly demanding £34m to sell Dorgu, United did well to sign him for a smaller amount given their financial troubles. Indeed, they were willing to sell the likes of Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho for big fees that would represent pure profit on their books.
Nonetheless, Dorgu is a player that fits into Ruben Amorim's system as he is a left wing-back. A natural left-footer on that side is beneficial, and so he could prove to be money well spent.
4. Eli Junior Kroupi (Lorient to Bournemouth) – £12m
Given the long-term injuries to strikers Evanilson and Enes Unal, it was imperative that Bournemouth signed a forward in January. At 18 years old, Kroupi is a prospect, and his market value should only rise.
Indeed, he scored an impressive 10 goals in 19 games for Lorient this season before moving to the Cherries.
3. Nasser Djiga (Red Star Belgrade to Wolves) – £10m
Djiga has swapped Champions League football at Red Star Belgrade with a Premier League relegation battle at Wolves. Given the high level he was playing at, the Old Gold will feel that £10m could be a bargain.
2. Romain Esse (Millwall to Crystal Palace) – £14.5m
Esse has made the step up from the Championship to the Premier League for a reported £14.5m including add-ons. The winger scored five goals and made one assist this season before moving to Palace.
He made an instant impact by scoring with his first touch on his Eagles debut, albeit in a 2-1 loss to Brentford at Selhurst Park. Nonetheless, Esse looks ready for the top flight.
1. Antonin Kinsky (Slavia Prague to Tottenham) – £12.5m
After Vicario's injury and with back-up goalkeeper Fraser Forster unavailable, Tottenham needed a new shot-stopper. Kinsky was signed for a reported £12.5m and had a debut to remember, keeping a clean sheet in their 1-0 first-leg win against Premier League leaders Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
He has settled in relatively well, and will hope that Spurs' defensive injuries get better as the season progresses.
