In this article, we have revealed our predicted England XI for interim manager Lee Carsley's final games in charge of the Three Lions before Thomas Tuchel takes over.
In the upcoming international break, England will play both Greece and the Republic of Ireland away from home and at Wembley Stadium respectively in the final two group matches of their UEFA Nations League (UNL) campaign.
Carsley has picked his final 24-man squad for the upcoming fixtures, after there were a significant number of withdrawals and new call-ups since the original squad was announced.
A total of eight players have withdrawn from the originally picked squad: Aaron Ramsdale (Southampton), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Levi Colwill (Chelsea), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Jack Grealish (Manchester City) and Bukayo Saka (Arsenal).
In turn, six new players have now been called up: Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa), Jarrod Bowen (West Ham), Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton), Tino Livramento (Newcastle), James Trafford (Burnley) and Jarrell Quansah (Liverpool).
Our predicted England XI: Experience over exciting youth?
Barring any more late withdrawals due to injury or other matters, Carsley should stick with the majority of his tried and trusted players from the start, as England really need to aim for maximum points in these two fixtures if they have the ambition to top their UNL group.
However, given that Carsley knows that they will be his final games in charge of the senior team before Tuchel takes over, he could opt to give some players their full Three Lions debuts as well.
Predicted England XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford (GK), Walker, Konsa, Guehi, Lewis, Gallagher, Gomes, Madueke, Bellingham, Gordon & Kane

Five ‘unusual' picks
Kyle Walker (Manchester City)
Walker could be considered an unusual pick given his lack of form for Manchester City, which has seen them lose four games in a row over all competitions for the very first time under Pep Guardiola. However, with Liverpool's Alexander-Arnold out of the squad through injury, Carsley may opt for Walker's experience at right-back.
Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa)
With Stones also out injured, it will be interesting to see who the centre-back pairing will be. Guehi should play having been a regular starter since the UEFA European Championships in Germany, but there are plenty of options to partner him, and Konsa may get the nod despite the fact that he can also play at right-back, and Villa have conceded plenty of goals in recent matches.
Rico Lewis (Manchester City)
Similarly to Walker, Lewis has not been in the best of form for City, so it may be a surprise to see him start, especially at left-back. Newcastle's Lewis Hall is a naturally left-footed left-back in the squad, but Carsley may be reluctant to give him his first senior cap from the start.
Conor Gallagher (Atletico Madrid)
In Rice's absence, central midfield is also a conundrum that Carsley needs to solve. Despite the club form of the likes of Curtis Jones, Gallagher may be given the nod due to his experience.
Noni Madueke (Chelsea)
Another Arsenal star in Saka has also withdrawn from the original squad with injury concerns, meaning that the right-wing spot is also up for grabs. Madueke may get the chance to start given that the likes of Palmer and Foden are also absent, although players like Bowen will also be itching for a chance.
