England shocked world football with their appointment of the Champions League-winning German manager, but will be paying out a handsome salary. Read on for the latest Thomas Tuchel England manager salary news.

The 51-year-old is regarded as one of the finest tacticians in the modern game, and an expert in tournament football. He will become England manager from January 2025, with Lee Carsley staying on as interim boss.
The England job is Tuchel's first foray into international football, after managing six clubs since starting his managerial career at FC Augsburg II in 2007, but the former Chelsea boss could not ask for a more talented group to coach.
Why did England pick Tuchel?
The appointment of Tuchel has ruffled many feathers in English football, with a vocal section of commentators insistent that the England manager should be English, and definitely should not hail from old rivals Germany.
But there is a strong argument to be made that Tuchel's appointment is a perfect demonstration of what English football and the Premier League in particular have become: a melting pot that takes the best from other football cultures.
There is also not an abundance of top-class English managers to choose from. Eddie Howe has long been linked with the role, but is committed to Newcastle United.
Howe was the only English manager to finish in the top ten in the Premier League last season.
Tuchel, on the other hand, is arguably tailor-made for international football. His record in club tournaments is excellent.

He won the Champions League with a solid but unspectacular Chelsea squad in 2021 and coached PSG to the final in 2020 (a feat nobody else has managed).
Furthermore, despite his struggles with Bayern, he still defeated a superb Arsenal side last season in the quarter-finals and was minutes from eliminating Real Madrid before a freak error from Manuel Neuer allowed Los Blancos to regain control.
The German has also spent considerable time in England, granting him a strong cultural understanding and a familiarity with many of the Premier League talents he will be calling on.
Tuchel can be a spiky character. He has clashed with senior figures at his clubs over recruitment policy, and players can tire of his meticulous methods. But in an international context, both of these weaknesses are mitigated.

Thomas Tuchel England manager salary: what will he earn?
Tuchel is widely considered one of the world's finest coaches. Outside of Julian Nagelsmann and maybe Marcelo Bielsa, he has no peer at international level in terms of pedigree.
As such, England are not skimping on his salary. He will earn £5m per year, but this is only half of his final salary at Chelsea. If Tuchel is able to win England major honours for the first time since 1966, however, he can expect some hefty bonuses.
His salary is also substantially less than Jurgen Klopp's latest deal with Red Bull. However, it is still a big jump from Gareth Southgate's £2.5m per year, but will hopefully prove a wise investment for the Three Lions.
