After loaning Marcus Rashford to FC Barcelona with an option to buy, Manchester United have sent a message to the Blaugrana.

On his way out of Manchester United during the last summer transfer window, Marcus Rashford found a new home at FC Barcelona on loan with an option to buy set at £25.4m (€30m). As he had hoped, the English winger has managed to revive his career at the Blaugrana and is posting impressive statistics with 10 goals and 13 assists in 34 matches.

Barca ready to negotiate with Manchester United for Rashford

While not necessarily a regular starter, the 28-year-old has established himself in Hansi Flick's attacking rotation. Capable of playing across the entire front line, he is a valuable weapon for the German tactician. As such, the former Bayern Munich manager has taken a stance on Marcus Rashford's future and would like to sign him permanently.

This also appears to be the club's wish. However, the £25.4m (€30m) fee could be too steep for the Catalan finances. The Spanish giants are therefore expected to try to negotiate a transfer with a reduced fee with Manchester United. However, according to ESPN, the Red Devils are not considering this option at all.

Manchester United want £25m, not a penny less

The American outlet reports that the English giants have no intention whatsoever of negotiating with FC Barcelona in the Rashford case. It must be said that given the first half of the season delivered by the England international, other suitors could emerge and offer £25.4m (€30m) or more to Manchester United next summer.

It should be noted that the player himself, who is valued at £33.9m (€40m) by Transfermarkt, wishes to settle permanently in Catalonia. As such, Barcelona have been warned and will have to trigger the £25.4m (€30m) option to buy if they wish to sign Marcus Rashford permanently.
