Manchester United, like numerous other European heavyweights, are beginning to prepare their winter transfer window and are negotiating with a Swedish gem.

During the last summer transfer window, Manchester United focused on strengthening their attacking sector by betting around £200m on three strikers: Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha. On the market in 2026, the Red Devils' priority therefore seems to be to strengthen other sectors such as midfield or defence.

This is the case with six midfielders on their shortlist for this summer with notably Adam Wharton or Carlos Baleba. However, the Manchester club remain active on the strikers market. This is what can be deduced from information relayed by Florian Plettenberg this Tuesday.

According to the German journalist from Sky Sport, Manchester United are in concrete negotiations for Filling's transfer. This young 16-year-old striker currently plays at AIK, in the Swedish top flight. He is a raw talent, who has just started his professional career this season.

Nevertheless, he is already integrated into his team's attacking rotation and has participated in six of his team's last seven matches, mainly in a supersub role. Author of two goals in seven matches, his talent seems to have already won over Manchester United, who could wrap up a £38m sale in January with Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli.

According to the same source, Filling could leave the Swedish side from this winter, whilst his starting price has been set at €3m (£2.6m) for January. It should be noted that the Red Devils are not alone on this matter since certain Bundesliga clubs are also in the running.
