With the 2025/26 season just days away, Manchester United are determined to return to the top. Amid several attacking signings, a £63 million flop has been offered to Bayern Munich this transfer window.

Manchester United have clearly focused on bolstering their attack this summer. The English giants have broken the bank to sign three forwards: Matheus Cunha (£63.5m), Bryan Mbeumo (£64m) and Benjamin Sesko (£72.5m). While the Red Devils are now looking to secure midfielder Carlos Baleba from Brighton, several players are expected to leave the club.

This includes Jadon Sancho, Antony and Rasmus Hojlund. The Danish striker joined from Atalanta Bergamo in 2023 for around £63 million and was seen as a gamble by Manchester United. According to Florian Plettenberg, the club’s management want to move him on and have even offered him to Bayern Munich.

Harry Kane’s presence in Bavaria likely limits Hojlund’s chances of a move to the Bundesliga, but Sky Sports reports that AC Milan are also interested. A return to Italy appears more likely, potentially on loan with an option to buy.

Having scored 26 goals in 95 appearances for Manchester United, Hojlund is currently valued at around £30 million on Transfermarkt. His profile seems to fit AC Milan’s requirements better than Bayern’s. With the recent arrivals of new attacking players, the 22-year-old striker no longer appears to have a place at Old Trafford.
