Adrien Rabiot is set to leave Olympique de Marseille before the end of the summer transfer window, and the French midfielder already has a clear idea of his next destination.
Following the shock announcement that Marseille want to part ways with their midfielder, the focus has now shifted to Rabiot’s decision. As confirmed by the player’s lawyer on RMC on Tuesday evening, Rabiot has already received offers to move elsewhere. Italian journalist Orazio Accomando quickly revealed that a top club – AC Milan – were looking to take advantage of the situation. Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri has long admired Rabiot and previously coached him at Juventus.
However, according to Nicolo Schira on X, Rabiot, 30, does not intend to move to Serie A and is primarily targeting the Premier League for his next step. That should please two of the six English clubs likely to seize this opportunity: Manchester United and Newcastle United.

If that plan materialises, other English sides could also make a move: Chelsea, Arsenal, or Liverpool. Schira notes that Rabiot does have a Plan B: a move to Italy. Three Serie A giants are reportedly interested in his services, according to Foot Mercato – Juventus, AC Milan, and Inter Milan.
Marseille’s asking price opens multiple options for the French international, with the club reportedly valuing him at just €15m (£13m), compared to Transfermarkt’s €25m (£21.5m) valuation. Rabiot enjoyed a strong season in 2024-25, making 31 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists.
With his contract running until June 2026, Rabiot will have spent just one season at Marseille before his stint was disrupted following a heated confrontation with Jonathan Rowe after a 1-0 defeat to Rennes. During that match, Rabiot hit the post with a 30-metre strike – had it gone in, it might have changed the trajectory of his Marseille career.
