Whisper+ analysis
Authenticity (3/5): The Sun aren't always reliable
Manchester United are among the clubs keen on Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi. The Red Devils also enquired about the 24-year-old's availability back in January.
The story comes from The Sun, who are certainly not known for their reliability. They add AS Roma and Napoli are also circling for the Englishman.
Value (3/5): Forest want to extend his contract
The £21million-rated winger's contract at Forest is due to expire at the end of the next season. As such, there's little the Nottingham outfit could do if the England winger decides to run down his contract. For now, though, they want to find an agreement over a new deal rather than listening to offers from his suitors.
Suitability (3.5/5): Brilliant dribbler
The left-sided forward likes to receive the ball out wide before cutting inside. He often employs his quick feet to beat defenders or to create space for shots. At the same time, he is versatile enough to play on the opposite flank as well as through the middle. The ex-Chelsea star was involved in eight goals in the Premier League this season.
Upgrade? (3.5/5): Squad player
United have already signed Matheus Cunha to play as the left-sided forward in Ruben Amorim's 3-4-3 formation. As such, Hudson-Odoi could arrive as a potential squad player to fill the void left Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, should the pair depart permanently this summer.
Logic (2.5/5): Best to stay under Nuno
Nuno Espirito Santo has done incredibely well to get the best out of Hudson-Odoi, whose career appeared to be on a downward trajectory. As such, instead of joining United where his role would be uncertain, it would be best for the youngster to continue at Forest.
Whisper+ verdict: 15.5/25
Forest don't want to sell and the move doesn't make sense for Hudson-Odoi. There's little in this saga to keep us interested.
