Authenticity (3/5): United urged to sign Calvert-Lewin
Ahead of Monday's transfer deadline, Manchester United were urged to make a move for Everton‘s Dominic Calvert-Lewin by ESPN's Mark Ogden.
He suggested the Toffees could consider selling their striker as the recently concluded transfer window was their last chance to cash in on the 27-year-old Englishman.

Value (4/5): Free signing in the summer
United didn't make any concrete move for Calvert-Lewin or any other striker in January due to concerns over financial fair play regulations. If their financial situation doesn't improve in the summer, the Everton man could emerge as a solid option, as he will be available on a free transfer.
Suitability (3.5/5): Target-man option
Both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are technically proficient strikers but they've struggled with their back to goal in the Premier League. Calvert-Lewin, meanwhile, is very good when it comes to using his body to hold the ball and bring his teammates into the game. A real physical presence that could provide Ruben Amorim with plenty of creative solutions higher up the field.
Upgrade? (3/5): Top option but fitness headache
The Everton man has the physicality and movement to be a handful threat for defenders and is certainly better than United's current attackers. However, his persistent injury concerns mean he could turn out to be another headache for Amorim, who can't catch a break at his new club.
Logic (2.5/5): Move abroad
Calvert-Lewin's profile is ideal for the intensity of English football but he might do better in a less physical league as that might help him avoid injuries on a consistent basis, leading to more minutes and more goals. Best to leave England and not just Merseyside.
Whisper+ verdict: 16/25
Financially, the Everton man is an appealing option for United for the summer, but it would be better for them to look for a more reliable talisman to lead their attack.
