Authenticity (4.5/5): PSV to get Malacia
The transfer window in England slammed shut on 3rd February, leaving some fans questioning the future of Tyrell Malacia, as PSV Eindhoven showed interest in signing the left-back from Manchester United late in the window.
The move is still set to go through, as the window does not close in the Netherlands until Tuesday.

According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, PSV are set to “fix details” of Malacia's loan move for the remainder of the season today.
Value (4.5/5): Loan deal
United spent around £13 million on Malacia, who has struggled with fitness issues throughout his time in Manchester. However, before he joined the Red Devils, he was seen as an exciting prospect at Feyenoord. It seems PSV are placing their bet on his reputation during his time at Feyenoord. The fact they are getting him on loan makes the deal very appealing for the club.
Suitability (3.5/5): Defensive solidity
PSV are one of the most attacking teams in Europe and currently sit two points above Ajax at the top of the Eredivisie. Malacia might appear a mismatch for their attacking approach, as the Dutchman struggles to make a difference in the final third but his defensive prowess and composure in possession could help PSV control things against quality opposition in crucial outings.
Upgrade? (3.5/5): Challenge for Junior
Mauro Junior is currently PSV's first-choice left-back and he has looked lively in recent weeks. As such, the 25-year-old United loanee is unlikely to start ahead of Junior. Expect him to play second fiddle to the Brazilian. However, any drop in form could open doors for Malacia to capitalise on.
Logic (4.5/5): Best to return to the Netherlands
Malacia has only made eight appearances in all competitions for United this season. With Ruben Amorim preferring attacking full-backs for his 3-4-3 formation, Erik ten Hag's first United signing is unlikely to succeed under the Portuguese, so Malacia returning to his home country to rediscover his form and full fitness appears the best decision for all parties.
Whisper+ verdict: 20.5/25
Romano has calmed the nerves by underlining PSV are working on finalising terms, with Malacia already in the Netherlands. This one is all but done.
