Liverpool transfer news: Reds and PSG in battle for young Brazilian ahead of Champions League showdown

Despite his undeniable promise, the Brazilian has not yet made a single first-team appearance for Palmeiras in the league this season, with just three outings in the regional championship to his name.

Despite that limited exposure, the report claims that both Liverpool and PSG are prepared to offer £17m for his services in the next summer window. Palmeiras, however, are holding firm and demanding double that figure — £34m — for a player who is under contract until December 2029.

A credible Liverpool target?

The case for Liverpool is not straightforward. Paying £34m for a player who has yet to establish himself in the Brazilian first team would be a significant gamble — and recent history offers a cautionary tale.
