Chelsea are set to bolster their squad this summer with the signing of influential central midfielder Valentin Barco from Ligue 1 side Strasbourg.
The French side have become a feeder club for Chelsea after being taken over by BlueCo, and Argentine star Barco is set to become the latest player to jump ship.
The 21-year-old failed to impress during his short spells at Brighton and Sevilla, though he eventually flourished under Liam Rosenior at Strasbourg after moving positions from left-back to centre midfield.
Considering both clubs share the same owners, there are no apparent hurdles preventing this move from fruition, meaning Barco is expected to be a Chelsea player next season.

According to the latest reports from French media giant L’Equipe, Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate is close to signing a new deal, with only ‘a few details’ left to sort out.
The 26-year-old’s current contract runs out in the summer, and despite strong interest from top clubs like Real Madrid, the French international is expected to extend his stay on Merseyside.
Back in February, Liverpool boss Arne Slot told Sky Sports News that contract negotiations were ongoing, with the Reds determined to keep the defender.
As things stand, Konate is set to snub interested clubs and secure his future with the Reds before the start of the 2026 World Cup.

Man United are set to part ways with eight players this summer as they look to accommodate a blockbuster transfer of Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson, according to The Sun.
Anderson has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs, however United are one of the leaders in the race for his signature, and the club are willing to make some serious changes over the summer.
The likes of Manuel Ugarte, Joshua Zirkzee, Andre Onana, Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford are all expected to be sold, while Casemiro, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia will depart as free agents.
United have identified Anderson as one of their top targets, though he will not come cheap as Forest look to secure in the region of £80m for his signature.
