In all likelihood, Antoine Semenyo will join Manchester City. To move on from this transfer setback, Liverpool want to target a Paris Saint-Germain star who is questioning his future.

With Alexander Isak's injury and Mohamed Salah's potential departure, Liverpool are set to be active during the January transfer window.

The English club are searching for attacking reinforcements. Initially, the hierarchy had identified Antoine Semenyo as the ideal candidate, but the Ghanaian winger appears to have given his preference to Manchester City, forcing the Reds to find another solution on the transfer market.

Liverpool want to land Barcola

One of the alternatives being considered by Liverpool is to target Bradley Barcola. The 23-year-old has been on the Premier League giants' radar since the summer and according to Caught Offside, the Reds will certainly return with renewed interest during the window.

Bradley Barcola is considered a world-class player who could establish himself in the long term at Liverpool, even if there is little chance that PSG will let him leave this winter.

Despite all the criticism aimed at Bradley Barcola, he remains an essential part of the Parisian squad. He is one of the most reliable players and Luis Enrique is clearly counting on him. PSG have also recently opened discussions over a contract extension. Bradley Barcola is still tied to Paris until June 2028 and his price is estimated at €70m (£61.5m) according to Transfermarkt.

Summer move possible if Barcola's situation changes

While a transfer for Bradley Barcola is impossible this winter, an opening could emerge next summer. The former Lyon player sits fourth in the attacking pecking order, behind Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

This summer, he questioned his future in Paris at length. If Liverpool can offer Bradley Barcola undisputed status, with a bumper salary to boot, then a transfer could become a possibility.
