Everton are said to be in the market for Kalvin Phillips, with David Moyes reportedly keen to try and revive another Man City fringe player's career after his success with Jack Grealish.

According to a report in Football Insider, the Toffees could look to secure the former Leeds midfielder on an initial six-month loan deal in January, with a view to signing him on a permanent deal next summer.

The deal would be similar to the one that the Merseyside club agreed for Jack Grealish, although the fee at the end of the deal would almost certainly be significantly less than the £50m option that has been included in that deal.

Either way, Kalvin Phillips needs to find a new club in January, particularly if he harbours any hopes of playing for England again.

Chelsea and Liverpool are reportedly part of a multi-club battle for the RB Leipzig defender, Castello Lukeba.

Both clubs haven't been shy about the fact that they are in the market for new defenders, with Liverpool preparing for life without Ibrahima Konate and Chelsea currently struggling to field a first-team centre-back pairing.

According to information in the Daily Briefing, Lukeba has a release clause in his current contract worth €90, but a deal could be struck for around €60m, if the player pushes for a move.

Liverpool and Chelsea are just the two latest clubs to join the race for the 22-year-old, with Manchester United, Newcastle and Real Madrid also circling.

Newcastle United are reportedly planning an ambitious swoop for their former player, Elliot Anderson.

According to Pete O'Rourke in Football Insider, the Magpies regret their decision to sell the 22-year-old in 2024 and would be front of the queue if he pushes for a move out of Forest in the coming years.

The same article concedes that a deal will be difficult to complete for Newcastle, though, particularly as Manchester United are also very keen on the player.

Anderson, who is fast becoming an integral part of Thomas Tuchel's England squad, was sold by Newcastle for £35m, but his value is now at least double that.
