Authenticity (3.5/5): Galatasaray hold Felix talks
Felix is set to return to Chelsea at the end of the season after failing to impress during his current loan spell with AC Milan.
The Portugal international is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, despite only returning to Chelsea last year. According to Turkish outlet Sporx, Felix's agent, Joao Mendes, has made contact with Galatasaray over of potential move for his client.
Value (2.5/5): Wages could be an issue
Galatasaray are looking to recruit Felix on loan with a buy option, while Chelsea want to sell the Portuguese forward or send him on loan with a mandatory purchase option. The Blues will surely want to recoup the majority of the £42.7m they paid to sign him from AC Milan last summer.
Suitability (2/5): Struggling to fulfil potential
Felix has registered just two goal contributions in 10 appearances since joining Milan in the January window. Those underwhelming numbers are a continuation of the inconsistency that Felix has struggled with since leaving Benfica for Atletico Madrid in 2019. The forward is still finding it difficult to fulfil the potential he showcased from a young age.
Upgrade? (2/5): Osimhen successor
Galatasaray need to strengthen their forward line, with Victor Osimhen set to leave the club when his loan spell finishes at the end of the season. However, Felix would struggle to fill the void created by Osimhen's departure because he is not a natural number nine.
Felix can play centrally, but he is better utilised as a number 10 or as a winger. As a result, Galatasaray would still need to recruit a new striker if they were to sign the Chelsea attacker.
Logic (4/5): Champions League club
Felix is desperately searching for a team where he can stay for the long term after moving from club to club in the last few years. Galatasaray will be able to offer the forward the chance to play Champions League football, while they will also be challenging for domestic silverware season after season.
Whisper+ verdict: 14/25
Although a move to Galatasaray would allow Felix to play in the Champions League, the player's wages could prove to be a major stumbling block. The Turkish club may also have concerns about whether Felix can produce the goal contributions they need to achieve success next season.
