Pablo Barrios and Julian Alvarez (Atletico Madrid)
According to London World, Chelsea are prepared to splash the cash for Atletico Madrid's star Pablo Barrios. The 22-year-old midfielder is currently valued at around £52m, but Chelsea will have to offer substantially more if they want to land Barrios this winter.
The latest reports suggest that the Blues are willing to pay up to £70m for Barrios, which wouldn't be too surprising considering his quality, versatility, and young age.
Barrios could be joined by his teammate Julian Alvarez at Stamford Bridge this January, according to TEAMtalk. Chelsea have reportedly already engaged in discussions with Alvarez's representatives about the potential move, but Chelsea would first have to pay a likely huge fee to the Madrid team for the forward.
The former Man City attacker is currently valued at around £88m and with other Premier League teams like Arsenal interested in his services, the Blues will have to empty their pockets if they want to win the race for Alvarez.
Tylel Tati (Nantes)
According to GiveMeSport, Chelsea are in serious pursuit of Tati, a teenage centre-back from Nantes. The Blues have reportedly already offered £26m for the youngster and Nantes are now considering the offer, which also includes sending Tati back on loan to Nantes until the end of the season.
So, even if this transfer goes through, Chelsea view Tati as a prospect for the future and won't rush to bring him to Stamford Bridge this winter.
Jeremy Jacquet (Rennes)
Another French centre-back that Chelsea are interested in signing is Jacquet, who is a couple of years older than Tati, but already an established name in the French league and, judging for the intense interest in his services, across the Europe.
In addition to Chelsea, Jacquet is also chased by Liverpool, who seem closer to signing him at this moment. The two teams have both offered substantial fees to Rennes for the youngster, around £60m, but Jacquet seems to prefer the move to Liverpool, though nothing is yet official.
Darryl Bakola (Marseille)
Along with Tati and Jacquet, Chelsea are looking at another young player from France in Bakola. The 18-year-old midfielder has just started to break into Marseille's first team and he will be looking for a loan move to a team where he can get more playing time, according to reports.
That being said, Chelsea are known for singing young players and letting them develop at other teams, so they could still decide to make a move for Bakola this transfer window even if they then send him to another team on loan.
Yaimar Medina (Genk)
The 21-year-old left-back is having a good season in the Belgian Pro League and the Blues have kept a close eye on Medina, which could reportedly result in a formal bid. The Ecuadorian can cover multiple positions.
