Barcelona are monitoring a talent at Fulham, but will face major competition.
Fulham are currently linked with Real Madrid because of manager Alvaro Arbeloa, but a connection with Barcelona could also emerge soon.
TEAMtalk reports that the Catalan club are the most keen on what is currently probably Fulham's biggest gem, the young midfielder Joshua King, and could launch a bid for him next summer. However, Barcelona are certainly not the only club interested in his services.
Joshua King on Barcelona's list
Fulham are changing quite significantly following the departure of manager Marco Silva. The new manager is Alvaro Arbeloa. The Spanish manager was last in charge of Real Madrid, where he struggled with the first team, but was well regarded at Castilla, the club's B team.
Fulham therefore had to pay for his former players. That is why Garcia, Palacios and Moran arrived. Fulham are therefore strongly linked with Real Madrid, although that does not necessarily mean good news. So far it looks like the opposite, and Arbeloa does not have much support from experts or fans.

A link could also emerge with Barcelona, the club being interested in Joshua King. The 19-year-old academy graduate is quite possibly the best player in the team this season, having already become a star during last season.
This term he has already scored one more goal in the first five matches than last year, has excellent ratings and is a truly key player for Fulham, almost indispensable.
TEAMtalk adds that he is under contract until 2029 and that there is no indication Fulham are looking to sell. His value is also rising and currently stands at £34m (€40m). It is therefore quite natural that the biggest clubs in the world are interested.
Barcelona will face competition
It will certainly not be an easy operation for Barcelona. The club's financial situation still does not allow them to pay huge sums for players who do not go straight into the starting line-up. And King would certainly not go straight into it, given Barcelona's enormous competition. King would cost a vast amount of money.
Furthermore, Barcelona are by no means the only club. Naturally, there is also great interest in the English talent from the Premier League. Liverpool are talked about a lot, having been among the reported suitors for a long time.
Borussia Dortmund are also the subject of speculation. However, King is long past the stage of being a talent who needs to develop at Dortmund. And with his price tag, he is no longer within Borussia's reach. It is certainly worthwhile keeping an eye on the situation surrounding the 19-year-old midfielder.
