Arsenal’s pursuit of Julian Alvarez appears to have ended after Spanish outlet Cadena Ser revealed the player is not interested in a move to London.

The Gunners were hoping to add the 26-year-old to their ranks ahead of the next season, but they will now reportedly turn their attention to PSG’s Bradley Barcola, who could cost upwards of £100m.

When it comes to Alvarez, the Argentine was expected to join La Liga rivals Barcelona, though that move has also stalled in recent days.

As things stand, the World Cup winner is expected to stay at Atletico Madrid next season, with the club reportedly making plans that include the striker.

The Real Madrid presidential election is heating up, with Florentino Perez attempting to please his voters by vowing to sign Bayern Munich superstar Michael Olise, according to the Telegraph.

The 24-year-old has shot to superstardom since arriving at the Allianz Arena, meaning Los Blancos would need to spend upwards of £130m to make the deal happen.

Former Crystal Palace man Olise is contracted to Bayern until the summer of 2029, with the German club attempting to extend his deal to 2031.

Perez is not the first man to make massive promises during the election campaign, with his rival Enrique Riquelme getting into hot water by promising to sign Erling Haaland.

Chelsea striker Liam Delap is considering moving across the capital city to join Fulham, according to the latest reports by talkSPORT.

The big factor behind a potential move is whether Delap’s former manager Kieran McKenna goes on to fill the coaching vacancy at Fulham.

The 23-year-old has seen his career stall at Stamford Bridge, and the report claims he is looking to hit the restart button under the same manager he previously flourished under.

McKenna is one of the favourites to replace Marco Silva at Craven Cottage, though the only major hurdle is the Ipswich Town boss’s £8m buyout clause.
