Despite an enormous amount of players in their attacking sector, Chelsea still struggle to find the right recipe. Two strikers, with drastically opposite prices, are tracked by the Blues for the next summer transfer window.

This summer, Chelsea once again spent heavily on the transfer market, notably to improve their attack. Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Estevao William, Jamie Gittens or Alejandro Garnacho arrived. All young players, with high potential, which fits perfectly into the strategy operated by the English club for a few seasons during each transfer window.

Nevertheless, Chelsea intend once again to recruit an attacking player next summer. Obviously, departures are planned between now and the coming months, notably those of Mykhailo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling or Marc Guiu. According to information from media TEAM Talk, the Blues are tracking two strikers ahead of the 2026 summer transfer window, namely Dusan Vlahovic and Samu Aghehowa.

Dusan Vlahovic or Samu Aghehowa, a £85m dilemma for Chelsea

The two players have a very different profile but especially, an opposite price. Next summer, Vlahovic (25 years old) will find himself free of any contract if he does not extend with Juventus, whilst Aghehowa (21 years old) has a release clause that has been set at €10m (£85m). The English media moreover state that FC Porto will show themselves uncompromising in negotiations.

To secure Aghehowa's services, it will therefore risk necessarily having to pay out £85m, a very significant sum, but which generally does not frighten Chelsea. However, the opportunity to recruit a more experienced player for free could make the Blues think. Several clubs such as Manchester United or Barcelona are also interested in Vlahovic.
