Authenticity (4/5): Caicedo emerges as Al-Nassr target
Chelsea's Caicedo is reportedly attracting interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
That is according to The Telegraph, who state that Al-Nassr view Caicedo as a dream target after placing the Chelsea star on their transfer shortlist.
Value (1.5/5): Chelsea to demand hefty fee
Chelsea will be reluctant to part ways with a key player of Enzo Maresca's side, especially as they paid over £100m to sign him from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2023.
As a result, it would take a bid in excess of the £100m mark for the Blues to even consider a surprise sale this summer.
Suitability (4.5/5): Top Premier League midfielder
Caicedo has developed a reputation for being one of the top defensive midfielders in the Premier League. The 23-year-old's importance to Chelsea is demonstrated by the fact that he is the only player to start every Premier League game for Maresca's side this season, highlighting the calibre of player Al-Nassr would get if they can pull off a shock move.
Upgrade? (4.5/5): Next high-profile name
Al-Nassr want Caicedo to become the latest high-profile player to join the club in recent years. Stefano Pioli's side already boasts the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic and Jhon Duran.
Caicedo would undoubtedly improve Al-Nassr's squad, and he could be seen as a potential central midfield partner for Brozovic.
Logic (1.5/5): Sporting incentive or financial gain
At the age of 23, it seems highly unlikely that Caicedo would leave the Premier League to play in the Saudi Pro League. He will be even more determined to stay at Stamford Bridge if Chelsea secure the Champions League, having never previously played in UEFA's elite club competition.
However, there is a small chance that Al-Nassr's ability to offer a lucrative wage package could tempt Caicedo to make the move.
Whisper+ verdict: 16/25
From Al-Nassr's perspective, it would be overwhelmingly positive if they could secure Caicedo's signature. However, it is difficult to see a scenario whereby Caicedo leaves Chelsea this summer, even if there was an enticing salary offer on the table to join the Saudi Pro League.
