Whisper+ analysis
Authenticity (2.5/5): The Sun makes bold claim
It is being reported that Juventus have been offered Marcus Rashford heading into the winter window. However, they have snubbed the opportunity and have instead shown interest in signing his teammate Joshua Zirkze.
This bold suggestion comes from The Sun, who aren't the most reputable transfer source out there.
Value (3/5): United's asking price remains unknown
Manchester United only signed the Dutch striker in the summer, having spent more than £36million to secure his services. The Sun say that the Red Devils are unlikely to be willing to suffer a financial hit on the 23-year-old at this stage of his time in Manchester.
Juve are also not going to pay a similar fee after seeing his struggles in England and may be forced to explore a loan deal or look elsewhere.
Suitability (3.5/5): Knows what Motta wants
Juventus manager Thiago Motta appears to be pushing the pursuit, having already gotten the best out of Zirkee at Bologna. He brilliantly used his technical prowess and ability to drop deep to exploit the opposition backline.
As such, it should be a seamless transition for the young striker if he gets a move to Turin and reunites with his former boss.
Upgrade? (2.5/5): Dusan Vlahovic poses a tough challenge
The Serbian is enjoying a prolific season under Motta. He has 12 goals to his name across all competitions. As such, despite his past connection with Motta, it is not going to be easy for Zirkee to replace Vlahovic in the starting lineup.
Logic (3/5): Worth a shot
Even though Vlahovic's form could make Zirkzee reluctant, he could do a lot worse than reuniting with Motta in Italy. The Premier League football is clearly too intense for the Netherlands international.
Whisper+ verdict: 14.5/25
With United showing little willingness to part ways with Zirkzee only after a few months of his arrival, it is going to be tough for the Serie A giants to get their preferred Red Devil. Meanwhile, Rashford's future remains in limbo, for now.
