Who are the Juventus transfer targets and which players will join the Turin giants in the Summer 2023 transfer window?
With financial and judicial issues constantly burdening the Old Lady through the last couple of years, the fans at least got some interesting transfers to make up for these gloomy times.
With Portuguese goalscoring genius Cristiano Ronaldo, World Cup champion Paul Pogba, and Argentine maestro Angel Di Maria being the top dogs to defend the black-and-white jersey recently, which other stars is the Agnelli family looking to bring in to help the team be up to par?
The 2022/23 season was undoubtedly not one to savor, as Juventus got docked 10 points and struggled to make ends meet through the end of the season. Now, the side will have to compete in the Conference League with teams well below their stature.
However, this doesn’t mean coach Massimiliano Allegri isn’t going to need backup. He already has a side that can put a wrench in anyone’s plans, but there are areas that can certainly be improved if Juventus are to compete successfully in Serie A, Coppa Italia, and the Conference League.
So, let’s see who are the Old Ladies’ transfer targets for the summer of 2023.

Juventus transfer targets: Summer 2023
Aboulaye Kamara
Juventus have made plenty of efforts to bring in young players this summer. And if recent Juventus transfer targets are anything to go by, they could be adding to this list with the signing of Aboulaye Kamara. At the moment, Kamara plays as a midfielder for Borussia Dortmund, but a potential move to the Italian Serie A is on the cards. The 18-year-old has entered the spotlight more and more in recent times, even if he has mainly played for the Dortmund B team throughout the last season. Nevertheless, he’s caught the attention of Juventus scouts, and there are now strong rumors of a loan deal being offered over the coming week.
This will be viewed as more of a ‘try before you buy’ situation. However, if Juventus were satisfied with what Kamara brings to the table, it is not out of the question that they would then offer to buy him at the end of his loan. As per his estimated market value, the figure suggests that such a signing would cost Juventus somewhere in the region of €3 – €4 million.
Domenico Berardi
Switching the attention from midfielders to forwards now, another prime target for Juventus is Domenico Berardi. This 29-year-old Italian currently plays for Serie A rivals. Sassuolo. Additionally, he's part of the Italian national squad, so he's clearly a talented player who is valued at both a domestic and international level. As for why he has popped up as a possible Juventus transfer target, he would bring some much-needed pace and creativity down the wings for Juventus. Furthermore, Berardi is versatile enough that he could potentially be played on either wing or as a primary striker – it all depends on the game and tactics of any individual match.
As for his statistics, Berardi managed to score 13 goals in 27 appearances for Sassuolo last season, showing that he was one of the club’s best players. Finally, if Juventus did manage to sign Berardi, he would join one of the other Juventus transfer targets who ultimately joined the club – Timothy Weah. And these would be a pretty formidable team, in my opinion.
Emil Holm
Another man that Juventus could definitely sign before the transfer period is over is Emil Holm. This guy is currently a Swedish international, which is obviously a testament to his capabilities in the right-back position. However, Emil Holm currently plays for Spezia, and as you may be aware, this club was relegated to Serie B last season. Of course, when you get talented players who are involved at clubs who fall out of the top tier, in any country, this tends to always work as a catalyst for such promising players to look at other options.
Adding to that, Emil Holm is still young at just 23 years of age. This suggests that he would be a perfect target for Juventus as he would fit in nicely with their objectives to start building a team of youngsters that will become stars of the future. Yet for the moment, while clear links have been made between Juventus and Holm, an official offer has yet to be sent.
Romelu Lukaku
Juventus’ board of directors’ task seems to be to anger everyone during the summer of 2023. Romelu Lukaku was already walking on thin ice with Inter Milan’s fans, but now, he completely lost their trust, as he’s no longer welcome at the club.
The Belgian goalscoring maestro already declined some very lucrative offers from Saudi Arabian clubs, as his desire is to perform under coach Massimiliano Allegri’s rule. Romelu’s former teammate Lautaro Martinez already slammed his attitude, but the 30-year-old forward is keen on signing up with the Old Lady.
An official bid is yet to be made, but coach Massimiliano Allegri will surely be glad to have a proven finisher such as Lukaku boosting his ranks.

Jonathan David
Partially due to Jonathan David’s tremendous Ligue 1 season with LOSC Lille, partially because he was in top-notch form during the Qatar World Cup, the Canadian striker is getting closer and closer to signing a contract with Juventus.
Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli himself is of the opinion that an up-and-coming player such as David could bring quality to coach Allegri’s starting XI in the long run. However, we have yet to find out if Juventus are willing to break the bank for 23-year-old David, as the Canadian has a price tag of €60m and a contract with the French giants until the end of 2025.
Bolstering Juventus’ attack with this deal would mean Massimiliano Allegri will have a lethal Vlahovic – David duo at his disposal. Surely, a dream come true for any manager.
Alvaro Morata
Certainly, the Old Lady’s fans would welcome Alvaro Morata. The Spanish player has proven he has what it takes to thrive in Serie A, following two successful spells with Juventus in the past.
He was among the key players for Atletico Madrid last season when he scored 13 goals and supplied teammates with two assists throughout 36 league appearances in La Liga.
However, Juventus are ready to poach Morata under the condition that much-admired Chiesa is sold first. Should the Italian winger leave Juventus’ ranks, then a bid for the Spaniard will surely be made.
Inter Milan already made a €15m offer to Atletico Madrid for Alvaro’s services, so the Old Lady will have to work fast on the transfer market if fan-favorite Morata is to make a surprise return.
Lazar Samardzic
21-year-old Lazar Samardzic is among Udinese Calcio’s finest assets. And it seems that Juventus are trying to poach him away from Dacia Arena. The Serbian central midfielder has a price tag of €14m on him, but if the Old Lady wants to have Lazar on its side during the tiresome 2023/24 season, a much more alluring offer must be made.
According to rumors, Samardzic is en route to the Premier League with multiple teams ready to snap him up. Juventus are about to face yet another transfer disappointment this season if they don’t act quickly. The board doesn’t look ready to send a lavish offer for the 21-year-old just yet. Instead, the club will try to get Samardzic on a season-long loan, which hardly seems like something Udinese will go for. The team would much rather get the staggering paycheck from the English teams.
Samuele Damiani
Samuele Damiani is the latest name to be linked with a possible move to Turin. The 25-year-old Palermo midfielder is enjoying his best days currently, and it’s no wonder why the Old Lady is making a move for him.
Samuele Damiani had a busy 2022/23 Serie B season with his team. Palermo’s manager used him on 27 occasions, during which Damiani supplied a teammate with an assist and got himself booked only once. Such sort of top-notch defensive work from Damiani is what might earn him the right to play for Juventus but coach Allegri would have to work fast as the time on the transfer clock is ticking relentlessly. Samuele Damiani has a price tag of only €350k, which is a sum the Agnelli family would be prepared to pay if that means coach Allegri would have options in the center of the pitch.
Sofyan Amrabat
Amidst transfer rumors taking Sofyan Amrabat to the Premier League, it seems that Juventus is the new frontrunner for his signature. The defensive midfielder made a name for himself during last year’s World Cup with Morocco, where his unyielding character and top-notch defensive work proved decisive as the North African country reached a historic semi-final.
The Fiorentina midfielder currently has a price tag of €30m, which might prove problematic for the Old Lady. The Agnelli family would even have to sweeten the pot significantly as Fio aren’t letting go of their prized asset without a fight. The transfer sum might force Juventus to hit the breaks but a potential season-long loan offer for the 27-year-old’s services might still be on the table if Juventus are ready to add an option to buy at the end of the season.
The Old Lady has to move quickly as the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool are ready to poach Amrabat on the last day of the transfer window.
