Toulouse
Toulouse made their European debut last week with a 1-1 away draw vs Union Saint Gillois. However, the game was significant for something else. Toulouse’s big star so far this season Aboukhlal (3 goals and 2 assists in 5 league appearances) sustained a nasty injury that could keep him out until January. This is a huge problem as Aboukhlal has been the main creator of chances up to now.
Without him last weekend Toulouse lost 1-2 away vs Lens. Struggled for chances in that match and also had issues defending set pieces.
Zanden, Sissoko and Skytta are three other players currently in the treatment room. The first two would have been used often if fit so Toulouse now have one important player missing from every area of the pitch.
Predicted Lineup:
Restes (GK), Desler, Costa, Nicolaisen, Suazo, Schmidt, Casseres, Donnum, Gelabert, Genreau & Dallinga
Metz
Newly promoted Metz are making a solid start to the new campaign (W2 D2 L2). Last weekend they saw their 4-game unbeaten run (W2 D2) come to an end when Strasbourg edged them 1-0.
On the road, Metz opened the season with a heavy 1-5 loss vs Rennes but they showed much better defending in their last 2 away outings and won both those matches 1-0.
Recently signed striker Estupinan started the last 2 games but he hasn’t impressed much. Now the speed-merchant Asoro could be preferred from the off as Metz are expected to play mainly on the counterattack.
Star centre-back Colin remains sidelined. This sees Cande starting often right now and he has done well. 37-year-old Traore is also out injured but this is not a major problem.
Predicted Lineup:
Oukidja (GK), Kouao, Herelle, Cande, Udol, N'Doram, Jacques, Mbaye, Camara, Sabaly & Asoro
Starting Lineups
The teams usually announce their starting lineups one hour before the start of the game.

Player to Watch: Guillaume Restes
Despite having 3 other experienced goalkeepers it has been the 18-year-old Guillaume Restes that started every game so far for Toulouse. The bright youngster has shone with cat-like reflexes and elastic saves so we back him to have another memorable display this time around. Restes kept 2 clean sheets in his last 4 starts for club and country.
