Tottenham are reportedly considering a move for AS Monaco star Maghnes Akliouche, as the North London club continue to explore options to strengthen their attacking line. Spurs had initially set their sights on Manchester City’s Savinho, but the Premier League champions are demanding over €80m for the 21-year-old Brazilian – a price deemed excessive by the London outfit.
Akliouche has now emerged as a more attainable target. According to The Independent, Monaco would be willing to let the French attacking midfielder go for a fee not exceeding €60m. The reduced price tag could pave the way for Tottenham to enter negotiations with the Ligue 1 side before the end of the transfer window.
Tottenham join PSG in Akliouche race
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain are still actively looking to reinforce their squad, with manager Luis Enrique keen to add depth across all attacking positions. With Kang-In Lee’s future uncertain, the PSG coach wants cover in every offensive role, prompting sporting director Luis Campos to keep a close eye on the Portuguese market.

PSG also remain interested in domestic prospects. Having already secured Bradley Barcola and Désiré Doué last year, the Parisians are now said to be targeting Akliouche as part of their long-term attacking plans.
However, a potential move to Tottenham could derail PSG’s hopes of landing the Monaco talent. The Ligue 1 champions risk missing out on yet another homegrown prospect as the Premier League’s financial power once again threatens to shape the outcome of a key French transfer.
