* Betting odds were correct at the time of publication but are subject to change
Here are our AFCON predictions for Tanzania vs Congo DR. The final round of group games are upon us and 3. Any of the four teams could go through to the knockout stage but for Tanzania, only a win will do and even then, results elsewhere could scupper their hopes of progression.

- Five of the last six encounters between these two nations have produced under 2.5 goals.
- Five of Congo DR's last six outings in all competitions have witnessed fewer than three goals.

Tanzania vs Congo DR team news
Tanzania
Tanzania were unable to capitalise on their one-man advantage against Zambia last time out. Despite taking the lead through Simon Msuva in the eleventh minute and seeing Zambia reduced to ten men just before halftime, Tanzania only managed to draw 1-1 in this game. Zambia equalised late on in what will have felt like a defeat for the Tanzanian players as they now need to win their final group game to stand any chance of qualifying for the knockout stage.
Predicted Lineup: Manula (GK), Hussein, Mnoga, Mwamnyeto, Hamad, Mao, Yassin, Salum, Samatta, Msuva & Denis
Congo DR
Congo DR picked up a very creditable point against Morocco in their last group game, despite going behind in the sixth minute. Cedric Bakambu failed to convert a penalty for Congo DR just before halftime but substitute Silas Katompa Mvuampa did get Congo DR back onto level terms in the seventy-sixth minute and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Predicted Lineup: Mpasi (GK), Mbemba, Masuaku, Kalulu, Inonga, Kakuta, Wissa, Moutoussamy, Pickel, Bakambu & Bongonda

Player to Watch: Yoane Wissa
Brentford's Yoane Wissa has looked very dangerous going forward in both group games for Congo DR, and we're expecting another good performance from the winger against Tanzania.
The 27-year-old has played twenty times for Congo Dr, scoring four goals since 2020 and is certainly one of his country's most effective players in and around the penalty area.
Wissa already had one goal to his name at AFCON 2023, coming against Zambia in a 1-1 draw. Congo DR could qualify for the knockout stage with a draw but only a win will make sure they move into the next round so we are expecting the favourites to push for all three points against a Tanzania side that are yet to win.
