Birmingham vs Swansea: Our top betting tips

These two sides could really do with kickstarting their seasons. Will either of them manage to take maximum points here? Find out with our Birmingham vs Swansea match preview with free tips, predictions and odds mentioned along the way.

Birmingham to win it

Both of these teams had positive results last week as they claims respective 1-0 wins, however, we think it will be Birmingham that make it six points from six here. The form of the two sides doesn't have much in it with Birmingham sat on eight points from eight games and Swansea just a solitary point – and two places – above them in the Championship standings. The reason we lean towards a Birmingham win is courtesy of the head to head record. Birmingham have won two of the last three meetings between the pair and, more notably, haven't lost to the Swans since 2020 – that was five games ago.

Both teams will score

Birmingham and Swansea might be struggling in the table but they are not struggling to serve up goals and that is why we think they'll both score here as they lock horns. Birmingham have seen goals at both ends in four of their last five away games whilst Swansea have seen both teams score in four of their last five away matches. With that form considered, it's hard to imagine this being a drab affair!

Two strugglers desperate for points

Neither of these teams have made the start to the new season that they would have wanted and the pressure is starting to build with the 10 game mark fast approaching; after all, they always say judge a table after 10 games and, if these teams don't pick up wins, the standings don't paint a pretty picture. Will either side find a way of winning this match?

Birmingham have made a sluggish start to the season averaging just one point per game and things aren't about to get much easier here. There is no doubting that this is a winnable match but Brum are missing a few players. The most important of those absent is Przemyslaw Placheta.

Birmingham Predicted lineup – Ruddy, Sanderson, Roberts, Trusty, Chong, Graham, Bielik, Colin, Bacuna, Hogan, Deeney

Swansea had really hoped to be kicking on this season but that hasn't happened – yet. Having players like Joel Latibeaudiere on the injury table doesn't exactly help setting those wheels in motion either. That said, Joel Piroe is still a Swan after the transfer window and that's a big plus.

Swansea Predicted lineup – Benda, Naughton, Wood, Cabango, Manning, Sorinola, Allen, Grimes, Patterson, Piroe, Cooper
