After a slow start, West Ham have burst into life over the last couple of weeks, winning matches and scoring goals for fun.

Their run of four consecutive league matches has seen them move up to top spot in the Championship table, with a goal difference of +11 after just seven matches.

A 3-2 defeat to Fulham in the Carabao Cup in the week may have caused a slight dip in confidence, but a huge away match against Millwall is the perfect place for this group of players to respond.

Nuno Espirito Santo, who was under pressure this time last month, has a near-full-strength squad to select from here, with Joel Veltman and Tomas Soucek his only absentees.

As for Millwall, their lack of form in recent weeks is becoming a real concern for Alex Neil, especially when you consider they were playoff finalists last season.

The Lions have lost three of their last four Championship matches, and if their form doesn't pick up soon, pressure could soon begin to mount on Neil; such is the brutality of football at this level.

Neil will be hopeful that a fixture of this magnitude is just what his side needs to rediscover their best form, although Millwall haven't beaten West Ham in any of their last four attempts.

If Millwall are to beat West Ham for the first time since 2004, they will have to do so without as many as nine first-team players, including Alfie Doughty, Tristan Crama and Romaine Esse.
