Slovakia avoided defeat in 11 of their last 13 fixtures, however, despite that fine run, the bookies think they might struggle against Ralf Rangnick’s Austria and the hosts have been given just a 33.3% chance of securing a win on Saturday. The Austrians should still have confidence to burn having beaten Germany 2-0 in their last assignment in November.
We’ve leaned into the goals markets for our latest predictions for Saturday’s contest with margins likely to be too thin to back in the match result stakes. If you’re on the lookout for more international football betting angles, make sure to check out our betting insights.

Slovakia
Slovakia and Austria last met when they played out a dull 0-0 draw in a friendly encounter in 2021 and that stalemate followed another 0-0 between the teams in 2016, so let’s hope history doesn’t repeat itself this weekend.
Slovakia preview: New faces hoping to feature
Slovakia's squad is at close to full strength for the March internationals and Head Coach Francesco Calzona could choose to give minutes to uncapped players Dominik Holly, Matus Kemet and Leo Sauer at some point.

Player to watch – Milan Škriniar
Milan Škriniar is Slovakia’s defensive lynchpin and captain, and the hugely experienced centre-half is in line to win his 67th cap for this country in Saturday’s friendly.
Skriniar a star name for Slovakia
In a squad short of big names, Milan Škriniar is the biggest draw for Slovakia though the 29-year-old has endured a frustrating maiden campaign with PSG at club level this term. Škriniar has struggled to get going since moving to Ligue 1 from Inter Milan and the towering defender should enjoy his break with Slovakia.
