* Betting odds were correct at the time of publication but are subject to change

It’s arguably the biggest game of the season for two teams fighting down at the bottom end of the Championship as both Sheffield Wednesday and Queens Park Rangers look to get a crucial three points ahead of the hectic winter period.

Sheffield Wednesday vs QPR prediction – Betting tips & odds

Hot Tip – a draw

  • Both these sides sit in the relegation zone with a dreadful combined goals scored record of 33 in 42 Championship games
  • This has also seen the two relegation-fighting teams win a combined eight matches from the 42 fixtures

We have also decided to back a draw because of how there have been more draws than wins for the two teams. Sheffield Wednesday head into this game with four draws on the board and only three wins, while QPR have the same amount of draws as wins (5).

The poor run of form from the Owls has also been coupled with a few injuries. Josh Windass has barely played this season due to an ongoing muscle injury and he won't play again in 2023. Dominic Iorfa and Mallik Wilks make up more concerns in the physio room.

Player to Watch: Lyndon Dykes

Although it’s hard to single out one player after such poor starts to the season, we have looked at Scotland international, Lyndon Dykes, for this game.

The striker is the joint top scorer across these two teams with three goals so far, and if QPR are to get anything out of this game, he likely has a say. Dykes has also had 34 shots this season and continues to be somewhat of a threat.
