Luton to win
We begin our predictions for this match by backing Luton to take maximum points. The Hatters have got a decent record on their own patch of late having gone unbeaten in their last five and taking nine points from those matches. What is perhaps more relevant to our tip though is how poor Reading are on the road; they've lost their last three away games and have just one win in five. On top of that, Reading don't have a great record when visiting Luton; they've lost two of the last three head to heads at Kenilworth Road and only managed to draw the other meeting in that period.
Both teams will score
We've just cited some poor away form where Reading are concerned but we do fancy them to find the net in this game. As such, we're backing both teams to score. Each of Reading's last three away games have seen goals at both ends whilst Luton have seen both teams find the net in each of their last three home games – and in four of their last five. With odds of 17/20 (1.85) on offer as well, we think there is some reasonable value to be had.

Luton to continue strong home form
There is very little between these teams right now with Luton in 9th and Reading just two further places back whilst both side on 25 points. We should point out that both sides therefore sit just three points off the coveted playoff places and, as such, the points on offer in this game are very much a big deal!
Luton will be confident of getting a result here with their home fans cheering them on. They do, however, have a few players unavailable for selection. James Shea and Reece Burke remain sidelined through injuries – knee and hamstring respectively – whilst Gabriel Osho is serving suspension following a red card.
Luton Predicted lineup – Horvath, Bree, Lockyer, Potts, Doughty, Clark, Lansbury, Bell, Campbell, Adebayo, Morris
Reading came close to a good point at Burnley but, ultimately, fell short. Despite that, we expect them to go with a very similar starting XI here. That said, there is one key piece of housekeeping to note re. injuries; the Royals will not be able to call on Sam Hutchinson, Naby Sarr, Liam Moore, Femi Azeez or Scott Dan.
Reading Predicted lineup – Lumley, McIntyre, Holmes, Yiadom, Rahman, Loum, Hendrick, Mbengue, Ince, Ejaria, Long
