Premier League goal time betting guide: Hat-trick hero Cunha loves striking late

We have created a Premier League goal time betting guide for this weekend's most prolific Premier League (PL) player, Matheus Cunha. The Brazilian scored a hat-trick as Wolves beat Chelsea 4-2 at Stamford Bridge, taking his tally to 11 goals in all competitions this season.

The Wanderers have four remaining fixtures in February, three in the league and one in the FA Cup, as we analyse when Cunha is likely to strike next…

Premier League goal time betting guide: Hat-trick hero Cunha loves striking late

1-15’ – 0 goals

Cunha is yet to score in the first 15 minutes of a game this season, which is not overly a surprise considering only four of Wolves' 37 PL goals have come in this time period. This is the joint-fewest in each 15-minute interval, suggesting they tend to be slow starters.

16-30′ – 2 goals

Cunha has scored twice in this time period, including his first goal against Chelsea, with the other coming in a 3-2 defeat to Fulham in November. Wolves themselves have scored four times in this period in the PL, and this could increase with their matches coming up.

31-HT – 1 goal

Cunha has only netted one between the 31st minute and half-time, which came in the 1-1 home draw with Nottingham Forest in December. Similar to the earlier timeframes, Wolves have also scored four league goals in this period, showing they tend to strike more in the second half.

46-60′ – 2 goals

Cunha has scored twice in this timeframe, with his last coming in the 3-0 win over Everton at Molineux in December. Wolves have scored five PL goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half in total.

61-75′ – 1 goal

Cunha has netted just once in this time period, which came at Chelsea when he scored his second of the day. However, this is Wolves' best timeframe for finding the back of the net, as they have a +4 goal difference in the league to date.

76-FT – 5 goals

This is when Cunha pounces the most, as he has scored five times in this period already this season. This includes a penalty that completed his hat-trick against Chelsea and two late strikes in the FA Cup, one of which was a late winner in their 3-2 third-round victory against Brentford.

Cunha's remaining February fixtures: When could he strike again?

Brentford (H) – 10th February

Wolves have already played Brentford three times this season – once in the PL and twice in the FA Cup, where they forced a third-round replay. They won twice and drew the other game – scoring seven goals in the process – and so Cunha could well strike here. He has already netted a late winner against the Bees, so will be one to watch in the latter stages of the match.

Tottenham (A) – 17th February

Perhaps Wolves' toughest encounter left this month sees them travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the PL. The Wanderers won the reverse fixture 2-1 very late, and so Cunha will feel he could make the difference.

Sheffield United (H) – 25th February

Wolves host bottom-placed Sheffield United in the league towards the end of the month, in a game where they will feel they can score plenty of goals. They actually lost the reverse fixture, so there will be revenge on the minds of Cunha and his teammates.

Brighton (H) – 28th February

Gary O'Neil's side finish the month with an FA Cup tie at home to Brighton and Hove Albion. In their two PL encounters, Wolves only picked up one point and scored once, so Cunha could find it difficult to get on the scoresheet.
