Man City vs PSG: Shock 9/2 Enzo Fernandez odds worth considering

Manchester City will take on PSG on Wednesday night, in what is the biggest match of the week in the UEFA Champions League.

While a cloud lingers over the hosts because of off-field issues, this remains a match between two of Europe's best teams.

With the match result difficult to call, we've picked out a potential gem of a bet that revolves around Enzo Fernandez. The Argentinian is priced at 9/2 to commit over 2.5 fouls, and below, we reveal why these odds are too good to turn down.

Anyone who has ever watched Enzo Fernandez play football, whether that be for Benfica, Chelsea, Man City or Argentina, knows that he is not the type of player to shy away from challenges in the middle of the park.

The Argentinian has committed three or more fouls in three of his four previous matches against PSG, indicating that he may have issues against the slippery midfield trio of Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz and Joao Neves.

In his first Champions League appearance this season, against Porto, Fernandez committed three fouls. In that match, Manchester City had 60% possession, proving that he can still find time for the dark arts even when his team has most of the ball.

With Fernandez a guaranteed starter for Manchester City at present, we can expect to see him buzzing around the likes of Vitinha and Ruiz to try and disrupt their rhythm in the middle of the park.

Could Fernandez's temperament be a problem?

If we are correct and Fernandez commits three or more fouls, there is a good chance he'll get booked on the night.

Having such an intense player on a booking for large parts of a match against PSG could be a problem for Man City, and it could even result in him being substituted earlier than planned.

It's not as if the 25-year-old can curb his usual ferocity for certain occasions. In the 2026 World Cup final, he committed an inexplicable foul on a booking, which led to his sending off when his country needed him more than ever.

If that version of Fernandez turns up on Wednesday night, City will struggle to win the midfield battle.
